Where Do I Hook The Gps Up

Went out this afternoon and pretty much got the install done. . went easier then i thought it would, with one exception. Having difficulty hooking up the hose from turbo outlet to IC. What did you guys do, I tried reclocking the compressor side but that won't do it either. Have a buddy making up a new metal pipe so it clears the filter box and goes where I need it. Once again, anyone else have this issue?

Yes, I had the same issue, I had to trim the corner of my AFE intake shroud, about two inches off the corner and then filed and re-painted to make it look decent.

That's one of those surprises the aftermarket folks fail to mention. The end result was well worth it!

Yep, going over to my buddys shortly and see if he did anything yet. If not, I'll just cut some off or get a BFH and remodel the airbox a touch.

Yes Sir. Same box. Mine has slotted mounting points to give a bit of wiggle room. Wondering if your box is slotted where it mounts?

I could have made it fit without cutting but not without rubbing. I have spoke with several others who had the same issue with the install, nothing really serious, kind of like you need to relocate your transmission dip stick tube if you have an auto! On mine that was not an issue at all.

Our trucks are all just a "tad" different, especially different year 3rd gens :) .

Got it . . nothing Mr. Sawzall couldn't fix!! :D Going to put a couple more hot/ cool cycles on it tonight then recheck everything in the morning and reinstall the heatsheild and the "modified" heater hose bracket... ( thanks Mr. Sawzall) and then see what this thing has. Something tells me my 35# boost gauge is now useless, is this correct?

35# boost gauge, bye bye. I have darn near pegged my 60# gauge before the wastegate acuates and holds it at a steady 48# to 50# clear to redline. It is difficult to watch the gauge for very long when you are moving so FAST!!

Jess :D

Boost well past 35lbs, TST boost gauge only works to 35. My Snow variable controller boost gauge shows 60 lbs at times. Be careful going that high . . . lol!
