i have a industrial injection sps 64 laying around. wondering if it will work well on my 93 auto. i was thinking about putting it back on my 2006 and putting itsstock turbo on the 93, but the stocker is eletric wastgate. probally no good.

i know i have to get a diffrent downpipe for the turbo. i'm planning on doing stacks this winter and will change it over then. h

how do you think the 93 will perform with tha sps64, 80hp sticks and the pump tweaked?

The SPS64 is going to work better on your 06 manual. Slower spooling than stock and really made for the fueling a CR can do in the mid and upper range. You have to work at it to get a VE pump up to those standards.

The HE351 will work great on your 93 and allow you to run a lot tighter TC and not be a pig for turbo lag.

Just as soon as I can afford an SPS62 for the 05 my 92 gets a transplant. :)

You would be supprised how much of a turbo these old VEs will fuel. These VE throw alot of fuel on the low end. With a spring, fuel pin. timing, and, injectors I think the 64 will work, maybe not as good as on an o6 but it it will work. I see an auto transmission getting replaced.

Nope, not surprised at all. ;)

However, the mid and upper range is where it takes more work to make the VE provide the fuel to use what the 64 can provide. Given he has an auto it tends to mess with the low end bad enough you can't use a good tight converter and let the 12V run where it likes it the best without lots of smoke until it spools.

The CR is much better suited to use the capabilities of an SPS64 and the HE351 is a good match to where a 12V VE works the best. Since his 06 is a manual it will spin the 64 quite a bit better with the right tuner. The 93 with a manual would be better but still not optimum.

The electronic waste gate shouldn't even be on the SPS64 is it? Normally you get the manual setup, a boost elbow, and a resistor to plug into the WG control to stop codes.

the sps 64 has a standard wastgate.

the stocker thats on my truck now is off my 04. 5! it has an eletric wastgate. how would that work on the 93? put on a manual wastgate?

and yes a transmission is in the future. massdiesel says all i need is a TC and shiftkit and a few updates on that transmission. no billitt stuff thank god!

Yeah. II or any turbo place can get you the pieces to make the WG a boost referenced one. You will have to reclock the turbo and get some different boots for the CAC but all the pieces are avaialble.

I see your signature lists the 64 on your 06, why did you take it off? Not like the way it performed?

it died after 10,000miles.

at about 8000miles it started getting noisy. couldnt figure out where the noise was coming from. by 10,000miles i knew it was the turbo. was fluttering real bad on hills and stuff(empty). the turbo was awsome while it lasted! i need to send it back to II. i've sent several emails about getting it repaired but never have received an answer back. one of these days i'll call and see if it's fixable. when i took it off it was working fine but just alot of flutter. didnt want it coming apart on a long hill and smoking the ctd!
