P7100 Lube and Heat ????'s

HP Limit w/Billet Input and Hub?

I finally got a chance to dyno the red truck. It felt good, and I was hoping for 525, but I'm well aware that the dyno will burst your bubble in a heartbeat, so I was conservatively shooting for 500.

she surpassed even my secret hope number and did 535/1196 :)

it's got more torque in it than that... we tried to get over 1200 and hit the dyno brake at about 1900 and pulled it down to 1600 or so, the turbo started doing its thing and it blew through the clutch about 1700-1800. I was expecting that, so I was able to clutch it and abort the pull pretty quickly.

still 535/1196 ain't bad for a lowly little OFE ;)

this is a great driving combo... the turbo lights up great, the DDP4's are easy to drive with no smoke, and at 48psi, I'm cleaning up pretty good. drive pressure is 41psi :D EGT's are a non-issue while just playing around. doing a WOT run on the highway in 6th starting at 2000rpm, it'll just be touching 1600* at 3500rpm. the needle climbs nice and slow. once I get a clutch in it, I'm going to put some water/alky on it, and I don't think I'll ever look at the pyro again (I never look now! LOL!)

original 215 pump, homegrown plate, AFC mods, DDP4's, sps62, ported head, and a smarty w/ a few screws loose at the wheel :p

Are you saying that he is a Dummy as opposed to a Smarty? :-laf

we were joking at the dyno about how my truck only has one setting... doesn't have a smarty on it, but the guy driving it sure acts like one sometimes :p

got a scan of the dyno runs... see them squiggles? that's why you don't lug one of these engines!!!! that's an impact wrench hammering away on your driveline!

Forrest,

Do you have a dyno run to compare before the head porting? that hp holds a nice line from 26 to 38, i'd bet its fun to drive.

BOTW, got an E-mail from Bob, he's planning on doing several events at his house this summer, sounds like fun. If we can work it, you can try a real set of injectors... ... you know, the Dragon's that flow!

sounds good to me :)

Well you know Jim speaking of Flow and Dragons.

Bring out the 98 and I'll let you use the II 13mm Dragon Flow Pump off of my half ton.

Then we can see what that beast of yours will put down with some more fuel :--)

Or you can stick around that 800+ mark with your old worn 215 ;) (just ribbin ya a bit) I'm ready to see you crack a grand w/single and the bottle in the ol' "paw paw" truck.

Good numbers Forrest. Glad to see that everything is coming around for you.

Heck of a change from showing up one morning for a turbo swap and finding a blown head gasket 5 hours from home.

NICE numbers Forrest!

Hey, did you get the new issue of the TDR #55 Yet?

Page 106 has these new "Earn Your Stripes!" Tags.

Send in a copy of your dyno sheet and you'll get a 500HP tag for your truck.

That's like what we started doing at our anual dyno event.

We have tags made for differnet HP levels. Most of the guys seem to love it.

I think with the big injectors I'll make some good numbers but it will take stage 2 to do it. I really think that pump is too much fuel unless you have a bottle. Maybe I can smack it again without snapping the dang cam this time! With the big injectors in there is still allot of smoke to clean up.

I just can get enough of how fun it is to drive with the smaller injectors though. Talked to Brady yesterday about some dragon fly's or maybe a tad smaller for a daily driver injector but it's on the back burner.

glad to hear that it made it. Let me know how it works out for you.

Hey Jim about that second stage. I have a few . 125 and . 157 solenoids laying around that might just be big enough ;)

About the 479hp run. I'm afraid I'd have to say tough on the 500HP tag. If you do 500 you get one, but we're all big kids at this table so no inflation at my events. You run what you run. We don't count spikes or use big correction factors.

In fact the event in 05 when Jim did 873HP on fuel and water/meth we were using a . 99 CF. In other words the guys numbers were printed as 1% lower than actual measured HP.

Now if you came to me and asked nicely (no begging or demanding) for a higher tag; you never know a 475+ tag might just show up on your doorstep in a few days. :D
