I have recently installed a SPS62 in my 2003. After install I developed an oil leak. Drain line is stock, and lear of obstructions. Turbo was sent back and completly torn down. Shane says all ok. My question is this, has anyone had to modify the drain tube to allow better flow, as I. I. says oil flow restriction will cause oil to leak out of turbo. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Where exactly was it leaking?

I had an oil leak after installing my SPS62. It was due to the gasket provided by Industrial Injection not matting up to the drain tube properly. The provided gasket has a rectangular port that matches the turbo, but leaves zero room for error when matting it up to the drain tube.

I was able to resolve the issue by purchasing a gasket from my Dodge dealership, which has a circular port that matches the drain tube perfectly.

Thanks!

That was my initial problem, however Shane thinks that the oil is backing up in the drain tube, and allowing it to weep through the shaft seal on the exhaust side, and then leak out of the turbo.
