Basically a larger turbine wheel by about 3mm's in diameter on the sb. If I remember right the sb wheel has curved blades which helps with spool up. The SPS has a straight bladed 71mm diameter (@ exducer) turbine wheel, the SB has a 74mm (@ exducer) turbine wheel.

Both can be had of course with a 62, 64, 66. Borg Warner also makes 68 and 71mm compressor wheels for the S300 turbo series so I would say they could make one off sizes also.

So the SilverBullet has a 66mm compressor wheel... but larger turbine... Ok, so this means you could fuel it harder and not worry about temps as much, correct?

Basically yes. A larger turbine wheel will flow exhaust faster and provide a way to power your compressor more efficiently under wot circumstances.

Usually you will feel a harder pull on the top end with a larger turbine wheel. Also egt's will typicall be lower on a WOT run. The only draw backs will be that it takes a little more exhaust to get going but once it does it should peak out faster.

we have one on our shop truck. it spools really well on it. although we do have a upgraded cam to help with spooling. it gets driven everyday.

I was considering a Silver62 originally, but I think I'd max that out at around 600hp with high egt's. I'm running a 200 horsepower tune out of a Diablosport programmer stacked with Quads XZT currently. It has ALOT of bottom end with the stock turbo. I'm going to add another duration only box. Maybe TST, VA or BD's x-power. Any of those could throw another 130-180 more horsepower worth of fuel. And eventually of course I'm getting a CP3 upgrade because I'm sure I'm draining the rail currently. I've got Banks Technicooler on route and will be doing the ARP studs also. I want 700+ at the wheels for fun and an easy 500 for daily driving. Nitrous or h20/meth may be in the mix in the future as well.

If you were me, would you do the SilverBullet or something of a smaller turbo?

Brett posted a while back that he had something in the works to make the Silver bullet light quicker... ... he said it was Shanes invention. Has anyone heard from Brett about this upgrade... ... he promised to post results when he got back from his trip. I think I'd listen to the results before making any decisions just yet..... he made it sound genious!

with the power you want to have i think the new silver bullet will be a great match for your setup.
