I can't understand how it happened, but i spun #1 rod bearing. The engine has 111k miles on it and the oil has been chaged every 3k miles give or take a little using rotella at first and then the cummins blue. I've torn the engine completely apart and cannot find a problem. I know that the oil pressure dropped to 0 before the bearing failed. Lack oil lubrication is clearly the failure, but i can't find anyone else who has had oil pump problems. Any solutions? Also, i could use some engine suggustions. Thank you!

spun rod bearing can be from improper [not enough] bearing crush within the cap, or too tight a clearance between the bearing and crank. or someone got on the throttle on a dead cold engine with stiff oil. [15w & winter conditions = bad imho]

that oil pressure dropping to 0psi. . was that with an aftermarket gauge or the factory idiot light gauge? factory gauge is a 7psi switch. more than 7 gauge reads something, less than 7 gauge reads nothing.

if the pump looks good and the clearances on the pump are good, could have been a plugged up filter or a faulty relief valve really killing the flow to the engine.

If all the other rod and main bearings look good. Check the oil passage in the crank on the number one rod journal. It could have some kind of obstruction in it reducing oil flow.
