I was just taking my truck to get the transmission fixed and on the way there the truck started bucking, I could not even get it up to speed. I replaced the fuel filter and cycled the key 5 times and truck will not start. Is it My lift pump?

If you heard your LP cycle when you primed the filter, it may be weak, but should still be doing enough to run.

Your VP may be shot, but before I jumped to a panic situation, I would crack open the #1,3,4,5 injector lines to see if fuel seeps out when you bump the starter, just to make sure there is no air in the lines.

There is a thread going on about testing the VP.

Well I finally got it back. Lift pump replaced at dodge. Then it was off to Goerend Bros. Transmission. And all I can say is why did I not take it to him when It was brand new. Compared to factory transmission this one eats it for lunch. Gotta love that tripple disc torque converter! It shifts awesome.

Yes it was the lift pump that was causing the problems. I dont think it had any pressure. You could not hear it run when you cycled it. NOT A GOOD WEEK! transmission and lift pump. I just hope my injection pump hangs on till I get rid of it. Dodge said that it was working great. But who wants to listen to them.
