Is anyone running the Spyn-Tech lockout hub conversion? If so what has been your experience with them? What is the cost? It seems at times it would be nice to go back in time to a lock out hub again. Can you leave them unlocked and back your trailer up a hill in low range?

Thanks, Doug

I have the Dynatrac so I can't coment on the Spintech's. But yes you can select low range and leave them unlocked while backing. I love them for that reason alone, the extra 1mpg fuel milage is just a bonus.

Doug,

I installed the Spyn-Tech kit on my truck last year. It has been well worth it IMHO. It creates less wear on the front end; and parts are cheaper to replace in the long run. My conversion was for a2005 3500 DRW. You can reverse in low range. If you want a more indepth explination on the install or anything; pm me and I'll give you my number and we can chat. Brandon

I have the Spyntec on a srw 3500 , bought the kit from Solid axle industries for $1550, excellent craftsmanship have seen about 1 mpg improvment and yes 2 wheel low is VERY handy. They do stick out a little farther than the other kits but for me the cost and quality were more important factors.
