sqeeks and rattles?

I am shopping for a truck. I know I'd like at least a 97 for the better breaking, but what about a quad-cab? Have you gentlemen experienced any sqeeks and rattles with the extra rear doors? I am afraid it may be like a van with barn doors... . thanks, guys!

My y2k quad cab doors are very quiet.

No probs with noise except sometimes if you don't get the rear door closed all the way before you close the front, then you'll hear alot of racket when you go over the bumps. Its not a prob if you make sure to get the rear doors closed completely first.

Also, Ive noticed that the seals around the doors are very good, and w/ all the windows closed, you need to close the final door harder, or the pressure in the truck will keep it from latching all the way. Not a complaint,just an observation.

i have owned two chevys, a ford, buick, honda two toyotas, a jeep, and this 2000 dodge 2wd quad cab. this has been the quietest veh to date. except for the engine squelch. but that is discussed in another post. cant go wrong with the quad cab. if you do by used, check the seals around the door, to see if they are damaged. this could cause a rattle if damaged. BTW these a a breeze to replace.

I've had 2 quad cabs... a 99 and now an 01. Never heard a squeak. #ad

My early '98 quad cab had some minor rattles in the rear doors and it never sounded "right" when shutting the doors. Not really objectionable, though.

My 2001 is much, much better.

I had a 99 quad cab and now own a 01 quad cab. I am very very picky about my truck and I have had no complaints with rattles or squeaks due to the extra doors.

My 98. 5 has had no squeaks, rattles or leaks. 50,000 miles. Would not hesitate to buy another as long as it is a Cummins.

I travel some very rough roads and at around 18000 miles I developed some small squeaks around the doors nothing bad --cleaning and Silicone spray cleared it right up...
