My clutch squeaks like I stepped on a rat!#ad
Drives me nuts! This is my 4th clutch master cylinder and I don't want to replace it again if I don't have to. $$ I can't figure out why it is sqeaking like this. Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks.

What about the bushings on the clutch pedal itself? Clean and lightly grease.

Go to DC and have them print the "fiche" for the pedals and available parts?

Also, see if you are missing any pieces from your master cylinder to clutch pedal (hardware, bushing etc).

Good luck

Andy

I just converted to a manual from an auto and mine did this, too. The rod that goes into the master cylinder is held on to a stud on the side of the pedal with a clip. Remove the clip, push the rod off the stud, and grease the stud (I used white lithium), and reassemble. This fixed mine.

I recently installed a whole new salve/master set... . new lost the little clip and had to get another one from Dodge. The OEM clip and washer were HIGHLY greased, big fat globs of grease. So I applied a minimal amount upon reassembly with the new clip... ... SQUEAKS HORRIBLY. Haven't had time to take it back apart and re-grease, but I would suggest the stud too now that I think about it. ;)
