Squeaky clutch pedal

I notice increased clutch pedal squeak and roughness in heavy traffic or when doing alot of shifting. I've sprayed the pivot point but it seems to return. Anyone else experience this on their 06 or other year?

Sorry but I can't get my truck profile to appear so I gave up on it.

I've had the same problem with my 01. 5 and the dealer said it was an installation problem from the other dealers replacement of the hydraulic system replacement a year ago. This squeak has happened many times since the truck was new and I have never tried to lube it myself. I too would like to hear from someone about how to stop the squeaking. 118m miles.

I need to take a look at this too, but I remember seeing something about this in of all places, my owners manual. I don't have my truck with me, but I might be able to look our 2007's manual tomorrow.

Sorry but I can't get my truck profile to appear so I gave up on it.

My '06 with 1200 miles is doing what's probably the same thing, although I'd describe it as more of a creak than a squeak. It seems to come and go though and it seems to happen more often if I'm slow on the pedal. I was not assuming it was a pivot point, but rather the clutch master cyl itself making the noise as the piston compresses/releases the hydraulic fluid.

My '05 has done this many times. My fix has been to get a spray can of White Lithium Grease and lube it up. If you look under the dash where the rod goes thru the firewall, there is the starter interlock switch (so you have to push in clutch to start). Undo the little plastic click lock and it slides back. You will be able to move/slide the switch back to see a white plastic washer and a foam grommet of sorts.



It will make more sense when you get out and under the dash.



Ok, now, the clutch rod/shaft slides through a rubber grommet in the firewall to the clutch cylinder. The squeaking/jerky operation comes when the rubber gets dry. So, lube the shaft with the lithium grease while you move the clutch pedal in/out. The grease should work itself in with in a day or so and the squeak will quit. Be generous with the grease.



Mine will usually be trouble free after this for 8-9 months before its time to repeat.



I promise its a lot easier than I've made it sound when you get out there and start the task.
