Hi, Definately sounds like your idler pulley bearing is going bad. We have a paper you might find interesting squealing related to when to change a pulley. Call 941-416-0918 or e-mail -- email address removed -- and we can send you the paper or sell you a pulley. Diana

I was a little past knee high to a mule and Dad was showing me how to diagnose bad alternator bearings, etc. with the screwdriver and touching same tool to the ear - works real well, until the screw driver slips and the drive belt catches hold - Dad fortunately ducked quickly enough but the neighbor's cat never saw it coming . . . after I stopped laughing and buried the cat in the garden, Dad gave me one of those 'don't do what I just did lectures' . . . . priceless, simply priceless. . . .
