Rock Chuck relocation
I had an interesting day today. I hiked a 12,482 Ft. peak in our local Lasal mountains and when I got back to the truck I heard a small sound at the truck but didn't think much of it. I headed home about 60 miles or so and at one point thought I heard some funny stuff while accelerating after a turn. I thought it was something going wrong with the truck and almost stopped to make sure all the wheels were tight but didn't. So I arrive at home and a little later after reviewing my pictures I looked out the window and see this big brown Rock Chuck sitting on the concrete by my truck. It looked just like some I had seen up there the last two weekends including today. So I go out and get some pictures of it and notice the paw prints on the side of my truck where it got out. I finally got the thing caught with the help of my dad and took it back up the mountain to it's elevation but a closer location. I think the thing must have climbed into the bed of my truck through the stack hole that I have not covered over yet since removing the stacks!! Below is a pic of the critter. It's a bit fuzzy because I used digital zoom.
