Here is what I put together on my truck. Below are the part numbers and list price (You can usually pay less if you are connected). Got about $1900 total in my project. I had the Sport Bumper pkg so I did not need the rebar that is behind the bumper cover.

HOOD:

SRT-10 Hood... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... 5029419AE... ... ... 600. 00

Scoop molding (includes grill)... ... ... ... ... . YL23TZZAB... ... ... ... 174. 00

Grill for scoop (if want to order spare)... 5029484AB... ... ..... 23. 85

SRT-10 Hood pad ("Viper")... ... ... ... ... ..... 55350891AC... ... ... 68. 50

If you order the scoop molding you will not have to order the grill separately as it is included with the molding pkg. The hood pad fits around the scoop underside but it also has "Viper" embossed on it (I say that its a Cummins Viper  ).

The hood (metal - black e-coat), scoop molding (hard black plastic), and bumper Cover (flexible material) will need to be painted body color. I had it done for $350. The Bumper cover mount tab had to be trimmed in the area of the condenser edges. This cannot be seen with the hood closed.

BUMPER COVER:

Bumper Cover... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... 5030101AB... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... 215. 00

Bumper Cover Grill-Rt/L side... ... ... ... ... ... . YX64XXXAB/YX65XXXAB... ... ... 41. 45 ea

Lower Fascia (in wheel well)-Rt/L side... . 5029920AA/5029921AA... ..... 63. 95 ea

Upper Fascia (on top of rebar)... ... ... ... ... 5029625AB... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... 22. 00

Fasteners for Upper Fascia (need 5)... ... . 6030441... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... 1. 75 ea

License Plate Bracket... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... 5029500AA... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . 47. 95

The above can be driven as is but I decided to order the lower brace because the bumper cover seemed to shake easy on the bottom... The viper trucks' lower lip is solid. (The parts below and the lower fascias need mounting bolts which I bought at NAPA - don't have those #'s anymore):

Bumper Cover underbody panel... ... ... ..... 5029611-AC... ... ... ... ... 430. 00

Panel front support brace... ... ... ... ... ... ..... 55077222-AA... ... ... ..... 22. 20

Frame to Panel brackets (need 2)... ... ..... 5029612-AA... ... ... ..... 36. 60 ea

Don't order the "Frame to Panel Brackets" unless you don't mind bending them to fit (not a big deal but still a pain). The SRT-10s' frame (the 1500 frame) is different that the 2500/3500. I originally thought that they mounted to the side but they go around the frame! Otherwise everything bolted right up!

And for the non-Cummins people (I bought these thinking I could make them fit... did not know that they were entirely 1 hard plastic piece... the Cummins intercoller is in the way. Any of the gas motor people need a set?):

Brake Duct Cooler-Rt/L... ... ... ... ... ... ... . 5290808AB/5290809AB... ... ... ... 29. 10 ea

And a final note: The "Tough Country" running boards' bottom edge lines up with the bottom edge of the bumper cover. (did not have a pic with the Leer cap)

Edit... Changed the $ on the Scoop and grill... left off the '17'.

Looks nice, but that sure is a lot of money. I would make sure your insurance knows about the change in case it ever has to tbe replaced.

Are you willing to sell your lower front valance? I am thinking of converting mine over to sport mode :D

Nice looking truck by the way. I've got the SRT-10 hood also, looks killer. :D

EKoster... "Are you willing to sell your lower front valance? I am thinking of converting mine over to sport mode"

Not sure which part you mean... I still have the Bumper Cover (Red) that came with the truck, which I no longer need and would sell. (Its sitting in the Mopar box the SRT-10 one came in) It has no lower valance or air dam attached to it. At least thats how it came. If you are talking about the black painted part on the bottom... its a molded part of the Bumper Cover.

To complete the hood you need the Hood and "scoop/grill" assy. (600+174 list$)

Your "hood grill' bolts right up to the srt-10 hood. The "scoop/grill" snaps into the hood. No seperate fasteners. I also moved some other parts, bumpers, hood light (and seals if I recall), from my old hood to complete the srt-10 hood.

The scoop is open to the engine bay. The SRT-10 trucks are also open... rain will get on the viper engine! The viper trucks don't use the scoop... their airfilters are located near the grill of the hood foward of the scoop opening.

My scoop is sealed with a black painted piece of sheetmetal sealed to the back of the grill. No water will get onto the engine from there. In the future I would like to make some type of functional system for the scoop.

Here are some pix of the bumper cover assy. The plastic part in the pic with the 2 grills snaps into the rebar that is the "sub bumper" on the sport pkg trucks. 5 plastic 'push in' fasteners affix the bumper cover to this part which is the upper mount location for the bumper cover. I held the grills in place by twisting the ends of the plastic mount tabs molded on the bumper cover. I could not find any info on what type of fasteners (if any) were used here.

The 'wheel lip' parts affix the edges of the bumper cover to the location where the sport pkg bumper cover was bolted (in the wheel lip).

Actually the red truck in the pictures at the top of the thred is the completed project. I just didn't have the 'under body panel' mount assy installed yet when thoes pictures were taken. That was done later after I bought the Leer cap.

Later this winter I will get into mounting the Boost/EGT gage probes and the A-pillar assy.

Sport Bumper insight?

Wild-T, your truck looks awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Does anyone know what it takes to convert from the chrome front bumper to the Sport front bumper? I have a chance to get a Sport bumper cheap but its off a 1500 and I want to make sure it will transfer to a 2500 with little trouble.

Any input would be appreciated but an overview like Wild-T provided would be great. :)

I'm thinking about doing the hood myself. I called the dealer today in fact, and he told me I could buy the hood, or they had a kit that was just the scoop for about 1/2 the price (around $350). plus they come painted in red silver or black. Any info on those?
