Well, I went down to one of the local dealers today to buy a set of rear wheel liners, Started looking through the accessories catalog and asked how much for the SRT-10 hood, He made me a deal I couldn't refuse. So I ordered it , although it is on factory backorder he still thinks it will be here within a month .

I like the looks of the hood , plus it being steel it should fit good .

Anyone here received one yet?

BTW the rear wheel liners I installed when I got home and look awesome. They fit my 3500 SRW perfect I wasn't sure if they would work because of the extra springs but no problems .

They have been on national backorder for a few months now, hope you get it soon and I can't wait to hear how it fits, as I've been wanting one for awhile.

I got it for employee cost he said , let's just say it's below $500.

He thinks all the scoop grill etc. comes with it . I know it will fit good. The dealer just got a silver SRT-10 in and my tech freind took it for a ride. Said it is one fast ride . I am going to go look at the hood today since the truck is the same color as mine . :D

If it is indeed metal it would be great to see some detailed pics, especially the underside to see if it might be possible to make the scoop functional.

It should fit OK, but you may still need to make minor fender adjustments to get all the gaps to line up. I just put a Reflexxions cowl hood on mine. It is steel and uses the factory stamped underside. I had to move the driver side fender in and the passenger side fender out. No big deal, you can't see it, but it makes the gaps line up better.

I have both the SRT-10 hood and bumper cover. No, the hood scoop insert does not come with the hood. The part number shows that it does, but when the hood arrived, no scoop. Dealer researched it, and ordered it separately.

Keith,

Sorry, I have been out-of-town for a week. Looks like you have the part number though. I will take some pics of the truck tonight and post them for everyone.

i thought the scoop was stamped into the srt-10 hood??? is it a glue on plastic thing or what??? i am confused...

SRT-10 Hood Scoop Not Glue on

I checked out an SRT-10 at my friendly neighborhood five-star and it is not a glue on. Can't remeber if it is funtional stock, but I think it could be made to be funtional (more benefit for the gasser).

I got the insert today it is a bolt in piece of plastic with grill included . The only thing I don't like is it will be open into the motor as is now which means water etc. :--)
