Srt-10 Hood!

Just thought I would share a picture of my new hood!

Too cool! That is on my list of gotta have its! My dealer quoted me $610 for the hood and grille insert and another $200 to paint it. Just waiting to free up some cash. I see them cheaper on Ebay but the shipping will kill ya.

If by chance you want to block off the scoop insert the Daytona insert will work, P/N 5174323AA, $12. 20.

I just ordered one today to block mine off while I take the SRT10 insert out to use as a template for a stainless insert.

Here's my Rattle Bee, have since tossed the rock guard, looks much better without it.

I agree it's mostly for looks. A guy could make a box and run a duct to the air filter though to get cold ram air if you wanted to help EGTs.



Here is my '05 3500DRW with SRT-10 hood. I had the grill painted blue like a sport as well since you can't get sport in Patriot Blue. Personally I LOVE the hood. It changes the personality of the truck tremendously.

You don't have enough info inside the IMG tags.

While posting you can use the "manage attachments" button to browse you computer files for a pic BUT there is a size restriction. If the pics are too big you can use MS paint to resize using the "View" then "stretch/skew" options, downsize by percentages until the pic meets size requirements for the TDRBB.





If you have the pic hosted on a pic hosting site such as Photobucket you need to right click the picture, click properties, copy the address (URL), then it could be hotlinked in your post using this button #ad
on the posting page. A address field will appear when you click it, then paste the copied URL into it.



If you quote someone's post the quote will often show how that person posted a pic if it's been hotlinked.

Yes, it opens up right into the engine compartment.

Yes, I replaced the grille from factory chrome to the Black and Chrome unit.

I purchased the grille off of ebay.

Lets say I wanted to connect a couple of 3" hoses to that opening (not sure how big it is) I suppose then I would need to fab a hose adapter to the back.

Yup, some 3" round tubing for hose to the airbox. The side that connects to the scoop would need to be made obround, the scoop height is 2. 25" tall.
