Smarty Junior?

intake horns, efficiency, cfm......blah blah

Great news!!

The Seconds revision fits awesome, and other than a few issues:

(indexing, tightening method, and some trimming to make the boot fit better) -- I think this revision is darn near production quality

I will contact the people that asked to be put on a list about if they are still interested, etc (so I know how large of a run to make the adapter)

BTW - here are 1st and 2nd gear pics:

Just so you know, the Srt-10 shifter I plan on selling will not be coupled with a BD short shift kit unless the customer wants it too. .

In other words you do NOT have to have the BD kit to use this SRT-10 Hurst Shifter...

Update:

I ordered 10 beta unit adapters today...

These will be shipped out to the few I have selected to give a review and let me know if they the product is a worthy one.

Till then... ... ... .....

Tomeygun - is the Hurst Shifter in the SRT-10 short throw to begin with or no? So your shifter would need to be combined with the BD unit in order to reach functionality of the SRT-10? I have been waiting for you to finish development so I can place my order accordingly (unless you still need beta testers) (send me a PM)

I have not measured the throw of a true SRT-10, SO I do not know how it relates to our Nv5600, G56's, etc

I do know that the Hurst Shifter being closer to you, coupled with a BD Shirt Throw pivot arm would be a killer combo - One of those 10 beta adapter WILL be shipped to a owner that already has the BD kit, thus so we know that they play well together.

PS - now after having the ball closer to me, it has became natural feeling again, back the way I like it...

I can't wait for this combo to come out to all of us - put me on the list!! I need a new shifter so bad, I figured I would wait until I seen what you had going on before I got the BD short throw kit, because I wasn't sure if they would work together, so I can;t wait, because that Hurst shifter looks very nice!

Thats awsome :) :)

It would be sweet to have a billet trim ring around the boot like on the srt-10. Actually do they sell the billet dash kit as well.

Thanks for getting this product into production!!!!!!

:D :D :D

How long are you gonna be beta testing before you do a run for sale?

Jeff

If the first few people report back no issues -- Then about 1 weeks after that, Enough time to have the machine shop make like 50-100 adapers. As well it depends upon WHO reports back - I have asked 5 people to beta test. . one g56, one 2nd gen 24v, one 12v, one 3rd gen with BD kit already, and one regular 3rd gen

I'm trying to really cover the bases...

BTW, It cost me and arm and leg to only make 10 - They want a run of 100 to see any real discount...

Well, if everything reports back good then I am definitely in! I'd be in even if it didn't. I really dig the way that thing looks!

They look like they are pretty dang stout, I wouldn't think you are gonna have problems.

Jeff

Tommy your 2nd Gen 12V beta tester, I assume they have the newer 98+ transmission top cover? That's the only way it would work. If you need another beta tester for the purpose of covering 12V's or 2nd Gens I have the newer top cover and would love to try the product out.

Got mine in today and installed! Tommy sure has done his homework! The pictures don't do it justice. The shifter is close, but not crowding, and it doesn't hit the ashtray when open. I haven't tried using the cup holders, but I think there will be plunty of clearance. The shifter knob will throw a few off if they try putting my truck in reverse :-laf . The knob looks huge compared to the old one, but it feels great! Tommygun get a big thumbs up! The first picture is of the truck in reverse.

So I assume you figured out that the included washers/shims were to index the rotation, and as well the ball can be indexed as well

One thing I will note, your boot as a TON more room under it than my boot. Mine stretchs quite a bit, and that why I did a bunch of trimming on the coupler...

Anyway. 3rd beta unit goes out tomorrow. Its the person that has a BD kit already...

PS - Thanks for the props! It was alot of homework making different/better, but not too close. Then again thats your job, To tell me if it need to be closer, etc...
