Just finished installing an EGT in a SRT 10 pillar with great success. My friend , the mechanic, did most of the tricky stuff i. e. drill and tap and turbo removal. I just want to tell all those considering doing what I had done a few things to look out for. We unbolted the turbo and at first wanted to remove completely. However, turbo drops and rests on frame support for cummins. The good news is you have enough clearance to tape up turbo hole and place a piece of cardboard on top and still have enough room to blow out any filings. I know others have left turbo in place but I did not want to risk it. The entire job took about 5 hours but the results were well worth it. My 5 year old daughter thinks I have some screaming mice inside as I mash the loud pedal. Also I am surprised how quickly the EGT's come down under normal driving. Good luck to all and thank you for all the invaluable information.
