I solved that problem with my black truck.

I just stopped washing it in the winter. :-laf

I Love em on everything Ive seen them on even duallys. here are some part numbers in case you need them. If you like em go for it.


HOOD:

If you order the scoop molding you will not have to order the grill separately as it is included with the molding pkg. The hood pad fits around the scoop underside but it also has "Viper" embossed on it

I went by the parts department yesterday to check on this as I had only ordered the SRT-10 hood. I added the Hood pad to my order but they said they didn't know what the Scoop molding (YL23TZZAB) was or think I needed it. Does anybody know what this part is and if it's needed when you order the hood?

in so few words, does anybody make a ram-air hood and a aftermarket air box that are function together?? i like the looks but would be more impressed if if worked also???any help would be great??thanks guys robert

I'm thinking about putting one on but was wondering if there was any differences in the color (of the new hood and the truck) because of any fading from the sun, thanks

Yes, definitely a problem trying to keep it clean. I wish they would stop using salt!!!

RLB the part name is Grill Insert and the part number is 05174261AA.

RDials, I had mine painted and put on when I picked up the truck in May and there is no difference in the paint color or any fading.

The SRT-10 hood on my 2004 has stayed open and does not seem to pick up much dirt or water. I have made a duct to send air to the AFE filter. Should be in Issue 52.
