what's the world coming to ?

I am looking to upgrade from SRW to DRW. I am going to put on a utility bed. Where is the best place to get dually rims? Not too many people have them for sale. I also want to change the front hubs. What parts are needed to change the front end to accept the dually rim?

I am looking to do this in the future as well, and I've read on here that the front ends are the same, the duallies use a spacer/adapter to kick out the front wheel mounting flange.

yes its a different hub though. well, kind of. the factory hub just has tabs where the wheels mount.

i am doing the same on my 04. 5 SRw QC 2wd short box. im not sure if i will be addapting the fenders to work with the short box or making it a flat bed yet.

if you can find someone wanting to go to SRW you can swap out a rear axle and call it good if gears match up.

as for rims, check into the rickson 19. 5's. i have been told nothing but good about them, like them, and like the load ratings. i plan on running them. they are a bit costly, but could be way worse. they look great as well.

also, one other thing. if you want a standard width dually, you have to use a STD dually axle. if you want a standard utility bed, you might be able to use a stock axle. i know Chevy(im new to dodge) had 3 widths of axles. chassi cab dually was narrower, stand SRW and dually. im not sure how dodge does it, but you could take measurements to figure out what it is you want. me personaly, i want the dually for towing stability with my 21k ooseneck. so i will be using a STD dually axle to widen up as much as possible, and then making the flat bed wider, or like said beofre using the dually fenders and some glass work if needed.

I still have the cab and chassis axles that I listed in the classifieds if you would be interested. 4. 10, LSD, Cab and chassis dually, have wheels too. PM me if you would like to know more. -Nicholas

If your bed has wheelwells, make sure it is made to fit standard pickups which have a 56-57" cab-to-axle dimension. Alot of utility beds are made for cab and chassis model trucks which have a 60" cab-to-axle dimension.
