Jason, did my check get there yet I can't stand to see the big brown truck pass by the house day after day until then I'll just sit here and read the post on how HAPPYOo. Oo. Oo. everyone is with there mounts. Thanks Don
I took a file & some scotchbrite & finished up the deburr job.
Cut a slit in some small fuel hose & glued it down to the angle brackets that the filter sits on so theres some rubber between the brackets & the filter.
Used the piece of hose trick on the shock mount as mentioned earlier. Worked good.
Used a 10mm socket to tighten the rubber mounts down (do not overtighten or theyll pull out).
I ended up bending the top front tab out a little because my frantz filter pushes the air breather tube up a bit. Worked perfect.
I got the package mid last week. Looks great! Will probably use the suggestions about using rubber on the brace etc. Currently trying to determine the best filter to use.
Jason, I recieved my 2 SS Mallory Mounts last night. They look great. I also will use the idea of the rubber fuel line hose on the angle brackets. Now I just have to wait to get my "Sock" that I have on order. Thanks again for a nice job.
