LSTDR Kerrville event: I still plan on attending regardless

Ok, who is ready to come up with a time and place. I don't have anything to add yet but meet at the Township Park on one of these dates. August 18th or 19th or September 15th or 16th. What do all of you want to do. We need to make this the biggest yet.

David; Thanks for the e-mail. I'm up for an August meet, first vote goes for the 18th but can do either day. September 15th is mine and my wifes anniversary so that probably won't fly. I'll watch for the results. Steve W.

Steve, it looks like it probably will be in September on one of the two days. There has been a little more posting on this on two other sites. Hope you can make the day that is the most popular.

David

Date Set

OK, all of you that want to attend. The day is September 16th at Edwardsville Township Park. We will be there starting at 8:00am and go until 4:00pm or until everyone wants to leave. For those of you that may come from a distance you can show up whenever you want to. See you there.

David

Dave, I will be there on the 16th, ready to kick back, relax and enjoy some QUALITY conversation, a few laughs, and who Knows, maybe see if we can't try to void someones warranty:D:D:D. See everyone on the 16th.

Don, aka Big-DQ

Location??

Where is edwardsville township park?? We will be coming in on I-64 from Indiana? I am new to the diesel world and would love to chat with some others and see other rigs. TIM.

Tim, I just sent you an email. Glad to see you are going to make it. It will be nice to meet you. I am going to bring a gas grill so you can bring whatever you want to fix to eat or there are plenty of eating establishments and grocery stores if you want to get something when you get there.

David

Hey, what is this? Everyone too busy to keep up? We are going to have a good time just kicking back and having some fun. The meeting is in September. All the kids will be in school and all of us kids will have a blast. Don will be voiding the warranty on one of my co-workers dad's truck. Come on by and join in. We might even get another truck to play wth. I will be working on that one tomorrow. See you all there.

David

OK, since the date and time has been set we need to think about what everyone wants to bring to eat, etc. I will bring the gas grill and some pork or some sort of meat. I might not have enough for everyone, but it will be a start. Give me some feedback.

David

Don, I have a guy that wants to do some work to his truck, he has 96 auto. can we do some wrenching on it on Sunday at the park? I'll feed you beer. :D

if so what do we need, anything? tools? parts?

I was thinking we could slide the plate forward and adjust the star wheel. anything else you can think of, let me know and i'll make sure he has the stuff for it.

I will have some airboxes for you and Dave too.

I got you two of them, and Dave gets one. do you need the other stuff to install it, on your new truck. (rubber gasket, tube to clamp filter on with) ??? or should I bring it with me.

cut a hole before you leave home and you can road test it on the way back. :D same size and spot as the psychotty. :D

Todd, I love you Man!!! I think I have the tool department covered. Sliding the plate is a good place to start, from there we could adjust timing and crank on the governor springs. maybe drill out a banjo bolt or two. I will need the gaskets I guess. That hole needs to be 41/2" correct? Dave, just a suggestion:rolleyes: Would anyone want to see the Toy, or should I leave it at home?

Don

Todd, thanks for the filter housing. I will put it to good use. Don, I think there might be some people who would like to see the toy. :D There are going to be some new faces this time if everyone that has put there intent to show up does show. I also can take care of that hole in your cowl if you want. I just happen to know someone with a 4 1/2" hole saw. ;)

David

looks like a 5-6 hour drive for me, I MIGHT be able to make it if work and other stuff doesn't interfere !Other than getting to meet some new people, and see those I already know, I'm very interested in watching a 12valve get "adjusted" to the proper settings...

I may not have the driveshaft, yoke and u-joint installed by then but I will load it up and bring it with me anyway. I will take you up on the offer of the holesaw, to save from buying one.

Don

They just don't make steel strong enough for that ol' wore out cummins of yours do they Don? Stunk to see that happen that close to the line. We wanted to see you at or above the 300 ft. mark. I think I will be ther then for the Sept. meeting. Maybe bring about 2 or 3 trucks with me. I will be bringing my new'98 with me so Don if you would I would like to at least try that secret black box of yours. Mopars1, would like to look over that new truck of yours a little more since I didn't get to see it much Sat. Hope all can make it, and me too! I kind of miss you guys!?

Tom, that is a ways to come but I sure would like to see you again. You and your son would be very welcome. B. J. it would be nice to see you make one. It has been a while since you came west. It looks to be a good size gathering. More than I expected for this time of year. See all of you soon.

Don, I am going to put the hole saw in the truck tonight so I don't forget it. I will put a battery operated drill in too.

David

Oh, how I hate to see us on the BACK page. Just wanted to post to say I hope everyone can make it to Edwardsville for the party. By the way if anyone would happen to have a spare driveshaft or two lying around, bring it with you and we'll talk:D:D
