OK all. This is first notice that the next meeting will be on the 20th of October at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, IL. There is going to be a DDRA drag race going on. Let's start planning now.

David

I think we should meet somewhere before we go to the raceway, so when we get there we all can park close to each other.

Do you know how much it is to get in?

David, Sounds great to me. I like Michael's suggestion about meeting somewhere first. Ideas anyone?

Hey Michael, Avatar! I want one - where'd you get it?

GeoVeo

Michael, I don't know how much it will be to get in yet. If it is the same for the regular dates it will be 8 dollars. This, of course, does not include the amount it would be if anyone would want to race. Meeting somewhere before hand for breakfast or whatever is a good idea. Let's see what other ideas will come up before we decide.

David

It is $8 at the gate, $25 to race for stock pickup, $40 for pro-pickups with a $1000 to win for the pro $200 to win for the stock.

What is this, no interest in watching diesels drag race? Come on by and have some fun. This will be a blast. A cheap day out. See what your truck will run with all the "options" you have installed.

Where would you all want to meet before going into the track? We could meet at the truck stop across from the track and have some breakfast. Just a thought.

By the way, I am going to bring my grill, so if anyone wants to bring something to cook for lunch, bring it with you.

OK, since there has been very little on the breakfast deal, I want everyone who is interested in getting some grub before going into the track, we will meet a the truck stop across from the raceway at 8:30-9:00.

Allright already! I'll go to the drags with you guys. I'm also up for breakfast. Oh by the way, the beast is up and running again. There has been a few changes in the driveline department. After the fiasco in Terrehaute, I decided to increase the horsepower in order to minimize parts breakage. I have a benefit pull in Belle MO, on Saturday the 13th. I'll let you all know if my theory actually works.

Don

I have found the secret of life, MORE HORSEPOWER!!!

Adam, we're going to try. It is going to depend on how late this thing on the 13th runs. It's a 2 hour drive home, and then a 5 hour drive to KC. If it's possible we will be there.

Don

i should be there for b-fast. I hope to talk 4 trucks into comin'. I hope they all will be coming if not they will ride with me. Is that a Pilot station across the road? I hope to see you all there. later...

It is a sad day in Diesel Dragraceland. Big_DQ, and his ever faithful companion and sidekick Kenny, will not be attending the 1st annual Diesel Drags at beautiful Gateway International Speedway:( :( Our benefit truckpull was postponed because of rain:mad:  Of course the rainout day is this Saturday:rolleyes:  I will not miss a chance to help a young child who is in need of major medical treatment. As a member of the Land of Giants truck club as well as the Gateway Turbo Diesel Owners Club, it is my duty to help children whenever I can. I know you all will understand our not being at the drags. Have lots of fun and take pictures. Kenny and I will try to do the same:D :D :D

Until the next call to meet,

Don and Kenny

We will miss you Don and Kenny. Have a lot of fun and see if you can get some more money raised by staging a "Best In Smoke" contest. You would probably win:D:D By the way. What time is the pull? Maybe you could come by for a little while in the morning if the pull is later in the afternoon or evening. Do well in whatever you need to do Saturday. See you next time. Probably mid December.

David

The pull is an all day affair. We will be leaving here around 10 am, and returning around 10 or 11 pm. By the way for those of you who may be interested, the Beast idles at 100psi fuel pressure and at wide open throttle, carries 120 lbs. Not bad for a Poor Old Worn Out Cummins, HUH???

the Turkey is defrosting

I propose we all take up a collection and Donate it in Dons name.

Don email me an address where we can send money.

P. S. the bird is only a ten pounder, my wife is getting cheap on us :D :D

I have a few pheasant in the freezer, maybe I'll bring some of those too
