Gateway Rocks!

Thanks guys for being so hospitable to Steve and I. It was a pleasure (although I experienced some breakage) to race on such a fine track. My new record e. t 13. 80 @ 98. 98mph with a . 521 r/t.

Next year will be bigger and better, I emailed my comments to the following address:

http://www.gatewayraceway.com/html/contact_us.html

If you attended and wish to, a quick note to them would help ensure the race for next year.

Glad to see you made it home Eric,

this was posted just this morning to the tracks website:

I would like to extend my thanks to the track and the officials that worked at the DDRA event on Saturday October 20th. we all had a great time racing our diesel powered trucks, and would hope to see another event like this in the future. just a note of observation: I live in Illinois and work in the Collinsville area, the only way that I found out about this event was by a member of the Turbo Diesel Registery, Eric Mcbride. he came from Indiana to compete in the event, and we were invited by him. a little better promotion of this event could easily bring more attendance next year. The TDR currently has 9573 members accross the United States. and our local club, Gateway Diesel Owners Association meet on a bimonthly basis, year round. we would be proud to donate some time to promoting Diesel drag racing. Great job, Hope to see you next year, Todd C. Thorp. racer #1647 on 10/20/01

Hey Greg,

we all ran in the low 12's and 13's

except for the PSD's they were in the high 18's LOL

actually our regular statistician Michael Hughes, couldnt make it. so we didnt really deligate someone to do it.

you saw what Stacked'N Jack'D ran.

Steve St. Laurent ran a best of 15. 92 @ 88. 38MPH

I ran a best of 15. 47 @ 85. 85MPH

Chris911 was in the Low 17"s

a few others were in the 16 to 18 range but I dint have names and exact times for them.

and I believe Steve won!! can someone confirm that?

I wish I had won but no I didn't - I finished 3rd or 4th. I won the 2nd to last round with a 16. 103 against a 16. 100 dial in with a . 578 light (. 500 is perfect) and I lost the last round by redlighting with a . 364 light - oh well, there's always next season. I did finish 3rd in the points for the year though! :D
