Hey All!!! Out of work for the rain, I hope to make to the park on Saturday. I swapped in some 4. 10's so it might take me a little longer to get there.

Ross

Thanks David, I am looking forward to being there and seeing everyone.

Is there anyone coming in from the I-44 area that wants to meet up and run together?

Thanks Mike, I may take you up on it My wife is trying to get me to go. I still haven't figured out if I can make it yet but looking better. I am about an hour south of Festus. where were you thinking of meeting up and when?

anybody going to be there that knows about killing that nasty timing cover dowel pin? That is one thing I haven't gotten done and the way my luck has been lately... ..... well I just don't want to think about it.

You may want to do a search for Todd T and email him and see if he has a setup to kill the dowel pin. I know he started a thread about where to locate a tool so he may have a way to get one. It may be a little late for Saturday, but you could work on getting something done on your own about getting a tool or maybe have a driiling party next meeting :D

dseabaugh,

78cumminsrepower (Matt) in Kingdom City purchased a new KDP jig and kit. It works great, in fact, I used it to kill my 24V pin even though I had the engine apart to install Pier's (awesome) camshaft. For peace of mind (and pocket book) I'd PM him and get it done!

I found out that the Oct. 19 benefit pull in Belle, MO starts pulling antique tractors at noon and will class diesel PU's as per those that attend, after the tractors. Larry

can anyone come to this gathering? I only live about 30 minutes from there. And i would like to talk trucks. :)

Dave Lange

dlange, anyone who drives a diesel powered pickup truck is welcome to attend. All brands are welcome, not just the Cummins powered trucks. Come on by and introduce yourself :D

David

Larry, that sounds like a good idea. Maybe we can get a lot of trucks there even though a lot won't pull (like me:D ) We will have to see how it all works out. Sorry you can't make it to the pull.

David

Ross, once everything is set up and a most of the people that are coming are there I will take a run back to the shop and get the truck. I already have the go-ahead to bring itOo.

Mike

I don't know if the PM is working or not. I never found the new ON button; anyway I'll try to see you @ QT around 8. If not then in IL. Have a safe trip. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Thank you all for coming. It was nice as always. Nice to see a couple of new faces, too. Hope we can do it again sometime:)

David

dave,\

thanks for the hospitality. Sorry i didnt get there earlier. I would like to meet again some time. Thanks for all the info.

Good Times

To all,

Maybe we could meet at the Riverfront Park in Washington, MO, If the Mid State meeting or Dyno Day does not happen

dlange and dseabaugh, it was nice to meet both of you.

Michael, yesterday's pics will be in the mail on Monday morning.

Hope to see you all soon!!!

Ross

Thanks for the invite up. Mike thanks for waiting for me so we could caravan up. Checked the miles on the way back and it was 149, about the same as to Mt. Vernon Indiana from here. t was great to get to look over the new ''03 quad cab. Some upgrades I liked: Bigger stock exhaust, trackbar fix, heavier door hinges with 2 bushings instead of one (although I did not like that the pin cannot be removed) Chrome cummins badge ,flip mirrors. I was not impressed with base price being within a few hundred $ of what local Stealers have been trying to sell me a fully loaded 2002 4x4 Q cab for. That makes the 2003 cost almost $10K more:--) It also looks like the turbo is built brand specific so that upgrades for the pullers will be tough and we won't be able to buy cheap aftermarket off the shelf turbos. It would be nice if they put on a telescope wheel and if they would put on dual sun visors like on the Fiord Exploders for that high priced a vehicle. Chrome center caps would be nice too.
