SWR TUNING IN VEGAS !!!!!!!!

In search of Local chapter

I thought I would start the ball rolling to see if anyone is interested in meeting April 28th or May 5th. All of you can post and if someone can think of a good place or event to meet we can hash out the details. If no good ideas pan out we can always rely on the Township Park. It's always open! So come on all you Ladies and Gentlemen let the posting frenzy begin.

Sorry all. I cannot see any of the replies to my original post. I have no idea what is going on but this is not the first time. I have asked Sagwagon to take over. Lets still make this a very Large Get-Together!

David

Always good to see new posts on the St. Louis TDR meeting threads. Tim and Kees, look forward to seeing you at the meeting. You won't be disappointed, except maybe at the poor performance of Don's tired ol' truck. We always have a good time! So, anybody got a preference regarding the 28th vs. the 5th? Also, there's been a suggestion to have it in Missouri. Don, how bout out your direction? Steve W.

hey guys, i found out there is a shop in Edwardsville that has a brand new Dynojet 248H. i talked to him and he said we could work it out to do some dyno runs on a Saturday, but he doesnt have enough parking for more than about 12 trucks. he can do it two ways, 3 runs $75 each truck, or $600 to rent it for a whole day, and we all can work together to get them in and out as fast as possible with no limit on how many. I dont know what the interest would be for you guys so I thought I would put it out here for you to disscuss. the other thing is its not in the floor so i dont think big DQ will fit without burning the place down, unless he can unhook the stacks for the run. i hope he can do that, because i would pay for his run just to see his numbers. if we invite some folks from Ford.com to come over too, it would make for a fun time.

carry on,

My preference would be for a Sunday, but either the 28th or the 5th is fine by me.

I will throw my own towell into the ring for Saturday the 28th. I would like to see Chris make it this time. I know this is the beginning of the busy season. I just hope we can get a good group. I am sure all of you got Chris's email that he cannot make the 5th. I personnaly am not interested in putting my truck on the dyno but I sure wouldn't want to miss a few others trying it out! By the way, Turbo Connection is only about 6 blocks from my house. They have the chassis dyno.

April 28th for me also. I don't think my poor old worn out Cummins powered Ram would have enough power to climb up on the dyno #ad
But I would be game to give it a try #ad

hey gang, we dont have to meet or go there i was just elated to find out there is a Dyno close to home. personally i think we should meet somewhere in the middle of all the members, which i think is somewhere in the Mo. area. maybe Bandanas or Super smokers for some BBQ. @= and then we can all pick our teeth and admire our rides after words. #ad

Chris has posted on the F**d web page about maybe going to see what the dyno has to say. He also emailed some of his F**d friends.

Take a look at his post <A HREF=http://forums. ford-diesel.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb. cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=22&t=000275>Greater St. Louis Area TD Get Together</A>

Hey Guys, I was just over at Chris' post on the Fuh. . For... Far... Oh you know where I mean. It sounds to me like he is trying to start a friendly rivalry between the good guys and the Ford guys. Lets decide on a day, and if we are going to do the dyno. My vote is for the dyno on the 28th. I am also working on a little suprise for him and his buddies,Heh,Heh,Heh. Sagwagon, would you know where I could get my hands on some weapons grade plutonium #ad

With all the lightning fast posting going on I will try and set the tone if I may. Let us all get together at the Township Park on the 28th and get some grub in our bellies and then set up the run to the dyno say around noon. This could all be rearranged as seen fit. I just would like something set in stone so then we can get a good group together. I was getting a little worried about the posting about the event on the F-D site was going to surpass our posting. We can't have that happen! Let's hear from all of you what you really have to say.

Dave, this sounds like a PLAN to me. I have some of the best Venison sausage I have ever tasted in my freezer, that I could bring. We don't have to grill anything before the Dyno. We could do sausage crackers and cheese type snacks while we all gather, Then plan dinner at one of the Fine restaraunts in your area, afterword.
Don

Sounds good to me Don. Todd, why don't you talk to the people at the Turbo Connection and see what they have to say as far as the time on that day that would work for them. I would think that it could not be too early as it takes a while to gather all the people at the park. Say, not get to Turbo Connection until 11:00am or after. We could start meeting at the park as early as 8:00am when it opens.

OK, i will set it up for 11:00am for the Dyno. can we get an idea of how many will actually run on the Dyno so i can let him know what to expect, i will also go over the fence to fafaford-diesel.com and tell them the same. i think meeting at the park is good and we can all run over in the back of a few trucks to the Dyno. as for eating i like Don's idea of eating afterwords, but he can still bring some cheese and crackers to go with the Ford guys' whinning, after they see what our Little Ol' 6 cylinders can do #ad

ATTENTION Don: can you really unhook your "cooling towers" for the run they will blow out right on the roof, and could start a fire.
