SWR TUNING IN VEGAS !!!!!!!!

In search of Local chapter

I would like to also add, we can go to my farm (and i use that term loosely the only thing we grow is 5 1/2 acres of grass that has to be mowed) after the Dyno or after we eat and have a bon fire and drink a few "sodas" if you all would like its about 15min from the park.

I will also make this offer:

I will pay for the dyno run of whoever puts out the highest #'s, be it a Dodge or Phord #ad

a note to the above, it better be a Dodge #ad

OK gang, there are already 7 Fords coming over, we need to get going here or its gonna be a Ford meet with a few lost Dodges in attendance. #ad

We did some measuring last night, and the Dyno has two rafters above it that could be a problem they are 7' 3"s above the platform when it is fully raised. my truck is stock height and it stands 6' 6"s tall, so you should fit unless you have more than 9"s of lift and tires combined.
Don, dont worry about the "cooling towers" the ceiling is higher than that.

I'll see how the funds go and I may give the dyno a try. The cost could go down if enough trucks plan to get on the rollers. Let's get this one rolling so we can have a good outing.

I hope to be there. I don't think I will do the dyno (stock truck). I hope the rest of you guys make it.

This is my first post, hope it works. I'm interested in meeting on the 28th. I need directions coming down I-44 from the west.

Measured my poor old worn out ram's height. 7'2" from the garage floor to the top of the exhaust thingies. Now if Piers can get me my new turbo, and I can finish the lung transplant, I think maybe we can somehow get it up on the dyno. Who knows we may have to push it on ala Joe Donnelly and his truck,Sickly #ad

Guys; I've been swamped lately at work but I'll be there. If you need more people for the dyno, I'll jump on. Mine's not bombed but what the heck. If I ever did bomb it, I'd have something to compare it to. See everybody the 28th. Steve W.

WYD, when you get into St. Louis you want to take I-55 to the north into Illinois. Follow the highway until you get to I-255. Take 255 north until you get to I-270. Take 270 east to the next exit which will be highway 157. Exit onto 157 and turn left (north) at the stop light at the end of the exit ramp. Follow 157 back over 270 and you will see that 157 takes a right up the hill. Follow 157 ubtil you come to the second stop light. The cross road will be Center Grove Rd. Turn right onto Center Grove Rd. and follow until you get JUST past the second stop light (I'm talking maybe 100 feet on the right). The park is Edwardsville Township Park. There is no big sign so if you go past the jet fighter on the stand you missed the entrance. If you can try and be there by 9:30-10:00.

David

By the way all, I am going to try and be at the park as close to 8:00 am as I can. I hope I have my truck as the transmission is going into surgery on the 23rd for some updated parts. (third gear grind) I have to assume anyone or everyone will be leaving around 11:00am to travel to the dyno. If some want to saty behind and shoot the bull that is up to them. If we all leave we may not have a spot to come back to if'n we wanted to go back to the park.

I am going to bring some sausage, cheese and crackers to snack on while everyone gathers. Todd has offered his "Farm" for a possible bonfire, bar-b-cue, type thing after the dyno session. We could also hit one of the local eateries, for a sit down dinner.
Don

Michael, Chris and some other of the F-D guys are going to bring some steaks and other eats. I am not sure what all is going to be brought as of now. I am going to bring my grill again for their steaks. It is going to be a free-for-all as far as what is going to be brought as there are quite a few Fords heading our way. It is a little hard to organize all of this on two different sites.

Lets hope that it doesn't get cold again!!

We can always go somewhere to get something to eat after we meet. It isn't that big of a deal. Maybe I will just some hamburgers to grill.

Hope to see you all there.

Chris has been keeping a tally of both lists and what is beeing brought. maybe he can post a list here too. here is his site with a list of the Dyno runners, and the food and condements. http://www.fidnet.com/~chrisw/stlousdyno.htm

it looks like they are planning to BBQ too.

David if your truck is not back in time, do you need some help getting the grill over to the park, I'm sure one of us can haul it for you. just dont try to blame us for that tray being broken #ad
#ad

I too will be there early to help out and will bring coffee and donuts and the silverwear. (I hope I have enough artillery) #ad

Any who are coming and want to eat something from the grill, try and be at the park by 8:30am so we can get a count for the amount of food and get the grill fired up. We can attack Don's food, too. If anyone gets turned around or lost getting to the park and has a cell phone or can get to a phone call 618-558-1081 and I will try to guide you in.

David

Guys, I am probably not going to make it on the 28th #ad

It seems some No good, Stupid, Idiotic, Quail-Brained excuse for a diesel mechanic, mainly me, accidently dropped a 1/2" wrench between the intercooler and radiator!!!! This fine Craftsman wrench has been laying there for some time, slowly wearing holes in both the intercooler and radiator, which decided to rear their ugly heads yesterday on the way to work. I now need a new radiator and intercooler. Dave, can you help out on the intercooler? I need to get a late model 24v cooler, which is more efficient than the older ones. If you can help, call me at (636) 456-6544, after 6:00 PM or at (314) 267-5237 during the day.
Thanks, Don

Don, sorry to hear about your mechanical troubles. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the 28th either. My son participates in 2 karate tournaments a year and this is one of them. I was looking forward to it but will have to settle for the next time around. Steve W.

Okay guys here's the scoop. The Poor Old Worn Out Cummins powered Ram IS going to be on the road for the 28th. Thanks to Mopars1. The intercooler was split 3/4 of the way down the drivers side! No wonder the poor old truck ran like a Ford #ad
#ad
So the sausage and cheese will be at the park. I sure hope some Rammers show up to help out on the dyno, it sounds like The poor old worn out Cummins powered Ram is going to have to take on half the Ford owners in the Midwest #ad
#ad
#ad
I sure hope Those guys are up to the challenge #ad

Don

Well, it seems as though Don might be there after all. He received the VERY expensive intercooler this afternoon and it should be installed by now. I hope he gets his new exhaust soon so he can add enough power to old sickly to get it to climb up on the dyno on the 28th to make a pull. It may have enough reserve to put out around 100 horsepower. That would be amazing as his Cummins is so worn out and on it's last leg. See all of you soon.
