MNTDR Early Sept

Iowa TDR Chapter???

OK, heres the details:

Date: November 19th -- 9am till 5pm (or until the last truck dyno's)

It will be held here at Lou Fusz Dodge and will feature John Isaac's 1200hp (twin-retarder) Load Dyno. If this thing cant spool your turbo, I dont know what can!

Cost will be $65 for three runs - A Discount for preregistering is available...

Soooo... Whos game for a day of DYNO FUN ?!?!?!?!

BTW - Lou Fusz Dodge is at the Corner of Lindbergh and Manchester at 1085 N. Kirkwood - Kirkwood, MO 63122

Tom,

Just a little info on the dyno. Doing a "speed" run which is what we will be doing the dyno will handle 2400 HP, It will handle 1200 steady state HP.

See you in November.

Yep its on Tom. And so far no problems! Just been playing with the waste gate a bit. Lee.

Cool, I was looking over your mods and if you dont pull 550+, I'll be scratching my head...

Whats the last dyno number that truck saw?

I'll be there but may not have my 2 wheeler back together by then. I'll bring the ol conversion dually but its probably too long to fit on the dyno :-laf

How does this 'load' dyno work? Get it in direct drive and mash the pedal for how long or?? I've only run dyno-jets.

You can run in direct drive or overdrive, and the dyno holds you to a preset given MPH per a second gain... . So you will accelerate but the dyno will hold you back. It measures HP by the amount of retarding needed to hold the truck to the preset mph/per/second

At least that what I think... . :p

In theory, all the dyno runs will be same amount of time regardless of HP. Unlike the dynojet, where a 3 second run usually means huge hp, etc

Dang you guys, right in the middle of deer season, decisions, decisions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nov 12th - Hunt the kill

Nov 19th - Kill the Dyno...

See, time for all the good stuff - Unless you post a shut-out on your first hunting weekend, haha

Tomey,

- Can we drive our own trucks on the dyno, or will Jon have to?

- Is this the dyno that is up high on a 5th wheel setup, or one that sits on the ground?

- Will there be enough room on your lot? It seems tight already and no room to park with all the new vehicles around. Will it be over on the body shop side?

John

That is usually up to the DYNO operator, I have seen it both ways... But I asure you, John will get the best number out of any truck if he does it :)

I will see if one of the Floor-it Diesel guys will jump in here

-- AND this is one that sits on the ground. Very easy to drive on, Not like the 5th wheel type (15 feet in the air!)

-- I will be moving a good amount of the new cars up to the service area, making room for the event (we are WAY more important :-laf )

I had a few people mention about if it rains... .

BUT thats why I got the 30x30 tent! and there is a downstairs office area we can chill in also... There are on site restrooms, an employee one 30 foot away, and the customer (nicer) ones in the showroom

Also, There are tons of places just 4 miles south at 44 & Lingbergh to eat - Texas Roadhouse, Chili, walmart, target, etc :-laf

I hope ya'll can make it, (my boss may kill me wasting this much time at work... :D )
