well..... In efforts to ensure a good turnout, I though i'd offer a pre-registeration discount - $55 for 3 runs, OR stay at $65 and get 4 runs (instead of the 3)...

Just a little something... ;) (sounded good in theory)

I am the one who operates the Floor It dyno, I will load every vehicle on the dyno and will make the dyno runs unless I choose not to. This is a condition set by our insurance company. There has been cases where I have chossen not to make the dyno pulls. For instance if you have drugs that needs to be turned on or off manually you will make the pulls.

Scott, Thanks for the info, i have no problem with you loading my truck.

I'm assuming we need to tell you what gear to run her at, like for me 4th, instead of 5th. (to save my 5th gear nut since where not on the dynojet). From Tomey's description 4th or 5th gear on a load dyno yield the same HP/torque results. Correct?

I'm also assuming a load dyno will run the turbo at full boost longer? Will this cause more of us to bark turbos? I guess the question is, Have you seen more turbo barking with load dynos basically? My hx40 is stock and I don't need to break the shaft on the dyno. Do you normally do a slow spool down after a run to prevent barking?

These two are my concerns with load dynos and someone else dynoing the truck.

Another question is how you run the manual and automatics.

I have a manual, for the manual's what rpm do you start at? I'm assuming up to redline, then stop, or do you hold an rpm constant somewhere in between. On the dynojet i got better #'s when i started at 1200rpm.

Please let us know. Thanks!

Come on J. Blowin a 40 on a dyno is no problem. You have seen me do it. :-laf I don't know about the guy who runs the dyno for John, but I would say that John would do everything to get your truck off of the dyno safe.

Travis,

I think you shoulda won the crowd pleaser award that day. It sucked to see if happen to you, but everyone loves to see a little schrapnel from time to time. ;) woulda looked a whole lot better coming from a ford though. :-laf

LOL I remember that day for sure, and a few other things you said when it happened  Was yours a Holset, I thought you had a Super B?

Hopefully yours was under warranty? Mine, I'm SOL, plus I have no spares here. :D Could be a good excuse to upgrade to a Piers 40 :p

This is Scott but since I am work I am posting under Floor It.

I get the truck into the gear the owner wants to pull in. Our dyno has shown lower numbers in OD. We start at about 1500rpm but that can change if the owner wants to start lower or higher. As I make the pulls I watch the graph and when the power falls off I turn the load off and ease off the truck. What this does is it allows the rear tires to free wheel and not be slowed down by the dyno. Not to say it will not happen but we have yet to bark a turbo during a pull. I can adjust the ramp rate of the dyno to help light the turbo. Tom's truck required a 4. 5 mph per second ramp rate to light the charger. The bigger charger the lower the ramp rate. Lower ramp rate = more load. We can go as low as 0mph per second and not let the truck spin the rollers at all up to 12mph per second that will not light the charger unless drugs are introduced to light the charger. Auto are more difficult, It is a matter of starting at a high enough RPM so they will not down shift or starting at a lower RPM and rolling into it so it won't down shift. I hope this helps. If any one has any more questions just ask or call

785-842-8545. Thanks, Scott

I'm interested in coming..... but - but - deer... ..... ah heck.

I'm getting my headgasket replaced on the 16th-17th. Is there a "break in " period after the repair?

Thanks!

J- sorry it took me so long to get back to ya. No Super B here. Bad exhaust housing. Sorry about the bad words. Promise I won't do it again. Sorry I won't be able to make it but maybe DLange will show up w/ something new  . Making another video soon J? Looking forward to it.

The furry woodland creatures require my attention that weekend, but best of luck to all you guys and hat's off to Tomeygun for getting this put together!

Well a water jacket let go on my head gasket wednesday night. I got the stuff to fix it friday but not sure if I'll have time this week to get it done. I'm shooting for friday night to work on it, so if everything works out I'll be there saturday to see if it seals :D

hmmm... . I might have to make this one. I'd like to see what the new SPS66 is making. I've been trying to get a hold of Mark @ TST to talk to him about upgrading to the twins program... hmm... . :D

Tomeygun, I am going to try and make it Sat. maybe give the new Georend brother trans a spin on the dyno, Thank's for getting it together, Don Barr
