I will be replacing the front stabilizer shock soon. Thaught I'd ask the TDR crew if they have any recommendations. I'm certain I can do better than factory replacement. Thinking about the Rancho, however I can't help but think there are other brands that work as well, and perhaps even better.
 
Just got mine from Napa. 28 bucks. Does the job. You might need a pickle fork or a little heat to get the tapered stud out. ;) Good luck.
 
Put the rancho on saturday. The only hard part was getting the stock stabilizer off. Took a set of vise grips, a pickle fork, a BIG hammer and a propane torch. The rancho came with all needed bolts and bushings. Although the tapered bolt they sent was too short, it still worked though. I have always used rancho stabilizers on my cummins trucks. I used the heckethorn on my 86 half ton and it worked great. You already said you can do better than a stock replacement, and you hit the nail on the head. A HUGE difference.
