I know this has been addressed because I've done the research in the forums, Doug's report, etc -- but things change all the time in these products.

I currently have a 2004 305 with an Edge EZ, 5" exhaust, stock turbo, stock fuel pump, Airraid intake, torque tube on the way, and EGT & Boost gauges with a fuel pressure gauge on the way.

I want to get some more power now, inexpensively. Later, when my powertrain warranty is up (about 18 - 24 months), I want this truck to flat out run. Twins, injectors, everything else...

What do you think my best option is for now to get some more power out of my truck without the fuel system, etc upgrades? I was looking at the Van Aaken box and it seems to stack nicely with the Edge EZ that I already have according to a few posts and Doug's matrix. Keep in mind I want to keep the stock turbo for now. Is the TST a better option than stacking these boxes?

Down the road, I'm planning on a good box (or combination of boxes), DD3 injectors, FASS, PDR twins, o'ring'ed heads and a slew of other upgrades. :-laf I want to keep this in mind also. If I do go with the EZ & VA C3. 2 stack now, will that be a good combination on a powerhouse down the road?

Let me know what your thoughts are. I'm ready to buy the C3. 2, but I'm not sure if that's the best option. I posed this on the DTR website, but thought I would post it here also.

Thanks for any advice!!!

Get a TST box.

Good service and product.

Van Aaken doesn't offer much of a warranty with their (personal experience)product and it is not made in the United States.

Plus the Adjustability of the TST is way better for fine tuning it to whatever power level you need. Also the extra injection timing helps EGT's and fuel mileage a bit.

I take my EZ off when I go to the dealer so they don't harass me about it. Looking at the picture of the TST, it looks like there are a lot of connections. Are they all plugs, or is it a more permenant box?

Thanks for the input!

They're all just plugs, removable with no evidence left but some are a little tough to get to, takes about an hour.

So David,

Did you stack or go TST?

I ended up stacking the EZ and TST. It's powerful and runs cooler than the TST alone. I did some dyno runs with the stock turbo, stock fuel pump, EZ and TST. The highest numbers were with the EZ on level 3 and the TST on 5/5. The Dynojet saw 395hp and 751tq. I was able to run on slightly higher levels 5/8, 6/8, but my tires kept slipping.
