Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Stack heat gaurd

Here's a quick picture of the stainless heat shield i am installing to cover the y-pipe and the 4" feed to both stacks. It all stainless bent into a 90' with cutouts for each stack. What have you other stacked guys come up with to keep from melting everything plastic you put in your bed. This is the best i could come up with soo far. Thanks!

Mine's not that cool looking, but it does the job, for an "ole" farm truck. :-laf :-laf :-laf



Just had a little wall built up behind the stacks so nothing could get up against em'.



But did have a pallet of feed fall forward on the way home one day and scortched a few sacks. Had to jump out and get the water hose real quick.

Where are you guys getting the parts for stacks at the prices listed



Everywhere I go with the Walker part #'s, it is double, sometimes triple than what I have seen posted by some of you!



BTW, That heat guard looks A+

I took oasis-3's stack price list to Heavy duty truck parts, who is a walker dealer. The parts guy wanted to know where i got my prices because they were close to his cost. He did work work with me a bit and i got out the door a little under $500.



Cumminsdog: I have had plenty of good stack stories! This weekend I let my girlfriend drive home from the mountains, with me in the passenger side with the seat all of the way back. You should of seen the looks she was getting as she passed other trucks with both stacks blowing black coal!! !! She loved it soo much she wants a cummings of her own!
