What keeps you from fitting 6" miters? Don't they have 6"-5" adapters?

Yes, but I have a very expensive bed box that hits the fenderwells and barely allows the 5" stacks. I will have to remove the box or modify the corners to give room for the 6" stacks, whaich i will probably do later.

Lethal, A question to YOU is do you haveany toys like a boat , camper , show car etch that you like to keep clean?

Blackclouddiesel has a box that will connect to your old system and your stacks so you can switch between the 2. May not be the way you want to go but it is an option.

I have 6" Bull Hauler's and love them. The Haulers are a bit above the cab and direct the soot out over the bedrails for the most part. Unless its been really wet I don't have much problem with soot. It's not much louder either unless I open the moon roof :-laf

Forgot to mention I prefer the deeper sound of the 6's over the 5's and I personally think they look better too. Thats my opinion but the 5's are nice too.

I had 6" on mine with a 36" muffler and it sounded great! But on long trips it got on my nerves. Soot was a small problem not to bad. I can't think of all the junk people would drop in them! :-laf Here is a shot of mine. #ad

Rick

I'm not going back. :D Love them.

Started with 4' tall, 5" miter stacks. Soot was a problem when it rained, even with a drain hole. Flat-toped them and put rain caps on it. Have pics of those 2 setups in my gallery.

Curently have a pair of 14" tall turn outs on the top of the stacks, with polished SS band clamps.

Here is what my 6" miter cuts look like. This is a Grand Rock kit that I modified to move them inboard. . Powder coated low temp black... Sounds so sweet with the twin turbos. Once the bed liner is sprayed in... it should look nice.

VERY NICE. I really like that truck.

Anybody every put a tonue cover on with stacks? What type of precautions would need to be taken with it for heat and ripping?

I like mine, but when I get done washing the truck I take it around the block and blow the pipes and any soot I may have out. After that I use Maguires mist and wipe quick detailing spray and wipe it down... I used to have pretty a pretty bad drone around 2000 RPM, but after I put my SPS 62 on and ran true 5" turbo back instead of a 4" down pipe into 5" pipe it's nice, even with the windows down. It sounds like a big rig and if I had a nickle form every head I turn and every complement I get I wouldn't have to work. :-laf Check out R/R's... .

If you do a tannuea cover just leave about a 1/4" gap all the way around and sew a piece of cord in the tannuea.

Drill a small hole in the elbow under the truck to let water out.
