Thanks for clearing this up for me, I've been wondering about this one for a while. I was planning on only putting on one stack behind the passenger side. I wonder if that would make any difference.

Yeah you'll do one, then you'll want two. :-laf :D Oo.

Woodenhead,

I have just one stack on my flatbed on the passenger side. I have a Walker 21471 muffler. It is loud with the passenger window down. Too loud for me that way, but with the window up and A/C on, no problem. With just the driver side window down, it isn't very loud either. My stack is about 2 ft. above the top of the cab, same height as my flatbed headboard.

I'm thinkin one 5"er, straight cut top, and a nice chrome flapper, rain trap whatever ya wanna call it. There's always room for expansion later. ;) Just a matter of finding time to do it which aint anytime soon. :( There's a few other "necessary" mods coming first.

Folks keep tellin me I'm nuts for wanting stax, good to see I'm not alone.

Thanks

Mike

woodenhead... you are definately not alone... I want stacks too, but my wife thinks they look dumb, but most of all I just cant spend the money right now:( . and I would rather have a nice flat bed to go along with the dual stacks:D

I'm with Mike... . I want a single 5"... . not sure which style, though.

Straight cut or angled... . or whatever happens to pass my way for small dough. :D

HoleshotHolset,

Stop by some truck shops once in a while. Sometimes guys buy a new rig and want different pipes so the shop ends up with some they just wanna get rid of for cheap ;), maybe you'll find something ya like.

Regards

Mike

Good call!!!

Hrmm... . closest truck stop type place that I know of is in Sturbridge, MA. Closest class-8 junkyard is in Ashby, MA..... very close to me... . I might have to go have a look-see.

Here's an idea for a man/gal with too much $$..... have the bed "frenched" so that the pipe can follow lines of the back of the cab... . kinda hard to explain..... but it would look SOOOO cool!! No loss of cargo area would also be a benefit... .

Alright... I've been burned by stainless once this spring... . are these things chromed or what??!!
