Hey I was thinking about adding a stack to my exhaust just for a little added flash. I have a turbo-back 4" straight and have about 6 feet of leftover pipe that I can use for the stack. I think I can use the bends in the existing exhaust to feed to the stack in the bed.

I just wanted to get some opinions on an easy way to do this. Any info is appreciated. I also want to have a straight cut on top with the flapper like you see on some rigs. Can you buy the flapper or would I have to fab one up out of scrap? Thanks

Should be pretty straight forward. The worst part is cutting the hole for the stack to come up through the bed. Yes, you can buy the chrome or zinc plated rain caps.

like he said you can get the flapper at any truck supply or order it online...

if you want the hole at the very front of the bed (and you do want the hole at the very front! LOL!) it's a PITA to cut, but it'll be WELL worth it when it's all said and done.

I did a search and found that some trucks with the quad cab are super loud and some are not-what's the deal? I will not go through with it if the cab noise is unbearable.

I hear ya on not wanting a muffler :D

just get the stack and the underbed piping mounted good and solid and use a good run of flex pipe between the downpipe and the tubing at the bed.

the 4" single shouldn't resonate near as bad as the dual 5" setups either...
