Does anybody have any experience with Banks kits used in conjunction with other mods? Could you use an EZ box with banks? Are there any injectors that are especially compatible with Banks? I like Banks fit and finish, but in hindsight, should have done some things differently. Alas, it has been done, and I want to know if I have any options from here.
 
I used to have the full Banks Power Pack kit. I added an EZ box to it, big difference!! With the EZ I saw 35-40 more hp on the dyno and the EGT's wouldn't climb nearly as quick. I also had 275 injectors installed. That config ran 337hp on a regular dyno run and 370hp on a simulated load dyno run.



I still have my EZ and 275 injectors if you would be interested.

just look at my sig! all thease mods really woke up that banks. right now my truck is in the shop gretting a new output shaft. must have too much power... ... NOT. . james.

I tried an EZ on mine and didn't really notice that much seat-of-the-pants difference so I took it off. Now the injectors, that's a different story. :D :D

Based on all of your comments, I am leaning towards installing injectors, and maybe later, trying out an EZ. Now for the next step... What injectors do you all recommend? I'm not too concerned with smoke, but more concerned with mileage.
 
From a "been there, done that" point of view, if you add injectors your egt's will sky rocket, I know the Banks unit will defuel at 1350 degrees, but if it defuels that much quicker with injectors, what's the point? The EZ like I said added 35-40 verifiable rear wheel horsepower according to the Mustang dyno at Edge, it ALSO lowers Egt's and I gained about 1mpg. Just my 2 cents worth.

Like PowderExtreme Said the addition with the banks conserning injectors ... . disconnect the TLC lead when adding injectors to the bank's kit to avoid fast defueling (Ofcourse do not do this if you don't have trans mods) as I found TLC (Torque Limiting Control) defuels when egt's are high to avoid driveline shock when shifting or stress. I am going to swap out the HY turbo with an HX (16 or 18CM housing) as my egt's do in fact get high quicklike as exhaust gas has to fit thru 9cm :eek:

I have the Banks 24v PowerPack kit (minus their Ottomind computer and Dynafact gauges). Instead, I have DD Stage 3 injectors (which make more BHP than their Ottomind) and the DD TTPM (which makes about as much BHP as their Ottomind). I don't think anyone will disagree that my SPA gauges are a considerable upgrade over the Banks Dynafact counterparts.



All in all, I think my hybrid approach has worked very well for me.

How does that setup work out overall on highway for ya? I as you see in my sig above am using DD1's with the ottomind and a VA (Ditched the Dynafact in favor of autometer) but I noticed the Tiny HY turbo chokes up when Fully mashed in upper RPM's. all and all highway for me is UNREAL :) arround town is blinding once rolling of course... . 93%. but I was thinking of using a PE in favor of the VA (Old style) with the Ottomind it's like running two boxes.
