What would be the pros and cons of running these two boxes on a 99' 24-valve. I have guages and will add DD2's later. I realize I will have to upgrade the auto and probably go to a bigger turbo. But I am talking about comparing this set up to others like the COMP by itself.

Pro's: Goes very fast

Cons: Lots smoke, lots EGT, can kill the VP44.

I would only run the blue chip box on lower levels for short periods, gradually increasing the levels, in hopes that it allows the pump to get used to the additional demands. But that is no guarantee, the 98. 5 and 99 pumps are not as reliable, unless they have been replaced with an updated version.

I would sell the Blue Box & put in a good set of BIG injectors first.

Whatever brand you prefer. They will be easier on your pump, and you dont have to worry about the added electronics, or having connection problems.

Piercing the pump wire is an expensive gamble, injectors are not.

Either way, just make sure the fuel pressure is ok.

An EZ, and DD3's make for a strong running truck.

Thanks..........

I appreciate the input, that is the kind on info I needed. I plan on injectors also, something around DD2's. This is a farm truck that will be used for mostly towing and highway driving. I plan to end up with dd's and a ddufm (comp). Just not sure where all I will go along the way to get there.
