First set of pictures is the '92 Silver "B".



NO!, I'm not running ULSD, and a catylist/scrubber. The stackes have yet to be hooked up the the existing exhaust system, hense the clean I. D.

I especially like the set on the '92 cause there is NOTHING that indicates my rig is DIESEL POWER from the back.



There just ain't 'nutt'n that says DIESEL POWER like two stacks!! Oo. Oo.

Oh, he has a grass thing? My father was like that, I felt bad for the fill in mailman. When the ol' man got done with him, he wished he ran into a nest of weiner dogs.

Scott, They look good except they may not be high enough to clear the smoke/soot and it may coat the rear of the cab..... aka "station wagon effect".

Scott look's sweet,,, But you might want to take them up just a bit to keep you sain,,, mine drive's me nut's after a few hour's,,, like a trip to INDY!

I really like the way they look. I was thinking the same thing with my 90 after I installed the flatbed. I don't want the stacks hitting trees off road.



Dunno about how loud they would be, the little experiance I've had with my brothers stacks, resonance can be changed with differnt mounts, and different heights. His stacks were real tall turned out 45*and quiet in the cab, then he cut them down(they are bull haulers) so they were slightly taller then the cab. Then the truck got real loud in the cab, and it was resonance. He made a little better mounts, and turned the stacks straight back, then they didn't make your eardrums bleed. I think the pipe you use before the stacks, and how its routed will effect the noise in the cab. I know a ve pumped first gen sounds differnt the a p-pumped or 24 valve truck, so I think the sound will be differnt with what you hear in the cab.



Let us know what happens, cause mine will be that way. I need them short to keep away from trees, but can't be under the truck so water and mud doesn't get in. Plus people on the trail won't like smoke in the crowd, so it needs to go up in the trees.

Scott, how are you hooking them up? Straight up thru the box? Up the outside of the frame,thru the box,then across inside? Inquiring (nosy ) minds want to know. Was curious how you got around the crossmember. Thanks

BTW, how are you able to keep the red plastic strip on your tailgate in such good shape? I just ripped mine off cause it was lookin real ugly, water was gettin behind it.

Thanks guys, for the candid reponses. I like the look cause it's different and kinda low key. I just ain't into the high pipes look. Noise isn't going to be a problem for me. My tractors have no muffler with pipe up through the hood out in front of me. Least with the truck the smoke will be blow'n behind me

Scott with them that low, you might watch it with the rear window open. Get that idle haze/cold weather smoke entering the cab depending on wind direction/speed etc. Yeah I know your truck doesn't see cold cold weather, but early AM fall etc. If it were me, I'd get them right at roof level. Looks at that height they are below roof level a few inches. Still be low key, but wouldn't have to worry about smoke entering the cab as much.



Trust me the noise gets old eventually. I'm not sure how long mine where on, but they're gone now. I'm sure one these days, I'll go back to a 'stack'.

No crap bill,,, if the wind is right and all the window's are down you get a big lung full of smoke.



then next stack,,, or stack's that go on the truck will break above the cab.

The stacks are Nelson. 5 inch mitor. I have the part no. 'round somewhere. They came 36 inches long. Way too long for my taste. The splitter pipe is a "T" configuration. I will post lots of pictures after all is bolted in. The system is four inch from turbo to the adapter at base of the stacks.



I rarely drive with the rear window open cause I have a full working a/c system, but you can bet I'll be trying that.



Bill, the bed/back of your truck looks naked now.
