I have the TST 3 comp version and want to stack a timing box with it . Right now I have a F. A. S. S. ,4" straight exhaust and AFE intake. I also plan on turbo (b1 or the killer b2)and injecter(dd 2)up grades. Is it safe to stack boxes or am I going to blow the head off my motor? And what boxes are giving the best results? My truck is a 2002 H. O. w/ 6-speed.

When stacking boxes it best to consult the makers as to what each box is capable of doing and be sure that when stacked it is still within spec of you pump( I guess if you want it to last), I took some bad advise once on stacking boxes it cost me my head gasket. If your looking for more hp consider selling the timing box and purchasing some injectors - edm stage 2-3. Turbos the b-1, h2tb, and the pdrhx-40 are good - If you got the bug really bad(hp) maybe get a pdr hx-40 then you have the primary turbo for a twin set up down the road. I have tried timing boxes like the diablo power puck, edge ez, and fueling boxes like a tst - these are all great products but I perfer the edge comp box for my application because it does both timing and fueling with out being extreme on the pump. Be sure to do lots of research with diesel performance techs all over to be sure you are getting what YOU want not what they have to sell. A little pointing in the right direction now will save you lots of money, I learn't the hard way and I'm sure there's a lot more who have to, It cost me a lot of money to get to where I am now, by trying all different types of products from boxes to turbo mods and to injectors. I live in Canada and came across Piers Diesel Researchwww.piersdiesel.com - He helped get me to where I wanted to be, and set me up to where I want to go(Twin Turbo's). A speacial thanks to Piers for the help, and good luck with your Mods.

I have a Power Puck stacked with my Banks Ottomind, and it really pulls. I don't know if its good or bad, but I like it. It will run about 38lb boost, which might be kinda low for that setup. My fuel mileage came up, too.

If you do some searches on the subject I think you'll find that a lot of people with the ho motor have had troubles with stacking boxes. I believe I read that the timing is already different (advanced) in these motors then the regular 24 valve, that seems to be why the head gasket promlems. It advances the timing too much. If it wasn't an ho I'd say no problem, I've been running stacked for 2 years with no problems, it actually lowered my exhaust temps, but with the ho motor I'd be cautious.

Thanks For The All The Advice I Called Mark At Tst And He Said With The Ho You Get Restrictions In The Vp 44, Stacking Boxes Won't Do Any Good. So Im Going To Try A Different Route.

Thanks

I am stacking an Edge EZ and a Three wire Blue Box (BD HO Box) on my HO. Peak to Peak HP gain with this stack is good for ~90 HP at 2700 RPM. But here is where it gets good... at 2900-3000 RPM the HP gain is over 120 HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My truck made 474 HP at BD Dyno Days last spring.

You shouldn't have a problem with poping a HO engines head gasket if you let it warm up completely before going WOT.

I'm stacking a Mad ECM, SuperChip's Tuner, and a Edge Drag COMP... It acts pretty funny between 800RPM, and 1,200, but it pulls nice when the RPM is up
