Yes And No

You can strap on a fueling box (doc hated them) and you should reap another 100 hp. However, the Comp has the features of the reprogram you likely had installed by DP. Part of this is injector timing. I would hesitate to compound the timing aspect for fear of overdoing it. You could run the origional fuel box from Edge which was called the "Power Edge". It is three position with no timing, fueling only.

Perhaps a partial reply to myself (regarding the larger injectors), is that the VP44 does not METER out a specific QUANTITY of fuel, but rather delivers fuel for an electronically-controlled TIME at a constant PRESSURE. With larger injector openings, more fuel will spray into the combustion chamber for the preset DURATION at this constant pressure over the entire RPM range. This seems logical to me, but I'm not sure if it's right!! :)

QUOTE: "Since the system gave me 100 hp extra, where does it come from? Power (crudely) comes from [Fuel + Boost], right? Well, if on my otherwise stock truck (turbo), there was no change in max boost, then no extra fuel is being added as well, right? By the way, my truck does not make any smoke (yet ). So, is it from the injectors??"

Fuel from the injectors and some timing from the reprogram. You should be runningabout 30 psi of boost which is significantly more then stock.

"Now for a more "stupid" quetion yet... how do bigger injectors add more power if there is no master command to instruct more fuel to flow to those robust squirters??? I know I'm missing something basic, as there is plenty of testimony to larger injectors adding power. ?

Given that the pressure is equal, bigger injectors will deliver more fuel. Allow me to demonstrate... .

I'm a little confused on the distinction between "timing" and "fueling". I assume that timing means ADVANCING the fuel delivery by xx number of degrees? To get more fuel, is it delivered for a longer DURATION, as I presumed in my last post?

Cool picture, and thanks for verifying the Pressure/Orfice Size connection to more fuel... I was thinking the pump metered out a set quantity. Thanks for replying to my endless Q's! :)
