I recently ordered the quad xzt pressure box. My question is once i upgrade my transmission will i be able to stack a timing/duration box on top of that like say the TST or when its ready the Edge juice or hot juice or even the BDDL? Also by doing this stack do you guys think i would be close to the 500 HP mark? thanks alot

on a side note i love this website i am a memeber of TDS and the diesel place and i have felt so much more welcome on this website than any of the others. Thanks alot gusy :) Oo.

I'm not sure about the '06 trucks, but the earlier quad modules were not compatible with anything except the Van Aaken C3. 2, which only stretches duration. Quad does timing/pressure, and the VA gives the duration stretch. Some have had good results.

Because of the loss of the Data Link on the '06, I would imagine that the new Quad box is a straight pressure box, plugging in only to the MAP sensor and Rail Pressure sensor. *If* this is the case, then it would stack fine with the TST.

I wish I could get my Quad Race (still have it) reprogrammed to be a pressure-only box. That would save me $400-$500, as I want a pressure box to stack with my TST and BDDL.

The quad XZT really only does pressure despite what the website says. The Xzillaraider is the one that does timing & duration.

With that said, the XZT is awesome and I have been running it on my '06. Right now I just got a Bullydog and loaded the Performance program on without the XZT and it's hard to decide which one to keep.

I tried the XZT with the Bullydog Tow/Haul program and it was killer. I took off the XZT and went back to Performance because I was afraid both would kill my transmission. Gonna try it again today though justs for kicks.

I can only imagine what the XZT plus Bullydog on Performance or Extreme would be like, but I'm not brave enough to try it without transmission upgrades.

Not completely true. The XZT still does not stack well with the TST because of the timing things we do. It also stretches the pulse more than you think on the low end.

Quad

Interesting, thank you for clearing that up Quad.

With that said, I just did a run with the XZT & Bully Dog on Tow/Haul mode (first level), and wow... didn't run it for long as I'm convinced it will bring a very early end to my transmission. The power was quite impressive.

So then I could go with something like the XZT and a bullydog downloader? As long as the transmission was upgraded?

Yes, I don't see why not. As I understand it, the BullyDog does not increase rail pressure with the first 2 programs levels, but only with the Xtreme or Crazy Larry programs. So with the first 2 programs, you could use a pressure box like the XZT along with it.

With that said, after running the XZT & BullyDog on Level 1 (Tow/Haul), compared to the Bullydog on Extreme, I think the XZT does a better job of increasing rail pressure than the Extreme program, so ideally I plan to run the XZT with the Bullydog on Level 2 (Performance), but right now it can't even take XZT & Level 1, until I upgrade my transmission.

So I'm pretty excited. :)
