'02 3500 4x4 auto. I need to know if a Superchips programmer can be run with an Edge EZ. If so, can they both be run on performance mode?

Superchips and van Aaken

I have been wondering the same thing. I have a van Aaken box and just ordered the Superchips programmer. Can these be run together?

i am pretty sure you can. i had the superchips on my truck while running my edge comp box. superchips on perf mode and box on 5x5,ran great , but the superchips was not mine. wish i could have just kept it. superchips is a good programmer but the smarty sounds like it is alot better, depends on what your looking at doing i quess. good luck

I wouldn't think so. I know the EZ does timing and I would think the Superchips would do timing too. I don't think you would want 2 boxes doing timing. If one, like the EZ was doing the timing, then adding a box like the TST pm3 would be fine since it does fueling only.

i never ran the edge with a smarty, just with the superchips. i would like to, how is the smarty?

you wont believe what the smarty does, it will make your truck into a totally different one.

the power comes in way quicker (low in the rpms) and just keeps picking up.

The most i have turned mine since i got my smarty was around 4200 in the lower gears, but have had it to around 110 MPH and still had a bunch of throttle left, and egts never got above around 1300 degrees.



on another note i have been running on SW #9 and i love it, can leave a big old cloud of smoke when ever i want.

and the mileage has got better, its 220 miles round trip to work and home for me and i am averaging about 21 miles a gallon thats 2 miles a gallon better then before smarty.

the best upgrade so far, next is gonna be injectors

The super chips and edge ez do the same thing, timing. I think guys tried them togehter and saw less hp on the dyno. I would not bother, sell both and get a smarty. You will be much happier then.
