Yeah, I can't imagine that would look good at all. IMO stacks should be not be more than a few inches higher than the top of the cab, I think they look goofy more than about 4" higher, all alone up in the air.

I'd have to imagine also that running them through a cap would make a h*ll of a lot of resonance in the cab, not to mention the cleanup or possible burns.

the only thing I could imagine that would look good would be straight cut stacks that are dead even with the top of the cap so they're not visible (F1 style). That might be cool.

Wow threw the cab that’s kinda odd. Id think you would get some noise. . And heat might work out good if u lived where it’s cold all the time. Iv always thought it would be kinda cool to have the exhaust come up threw the finder and stop flush. Except for the fact that the sides of the truck would turn BLACK. But

I started another thread on this, but maybe you guys could give a little more insight. What are the pros and cons to pulling a horse trailer with a truck that has stacks?

Thanks,

JL

Also, What do you do for a toolbox? I don't really want to lose that, maybe a smaller one that sits inside the bed?

as for tool box i dont have maybe just slide back, as for smoke depends on you truck, mine set on 1x3 after 1850 miles very little soot unless i was scwering around in traffic jams and turn box up  , take trailer off turn box up and let it FLY :-laf :D

Ed's kits are simply a t-pipe, driver's side is about half again as long as the passenger side. I'm guessing you're asking about a splitter that divides the exhaust up evenly so that you don't have one weak smoker and one that bellows. I was worried about the same thing, but they are surprisingly even. You won't be disappointed.

Remember to tell Ed that I told you to call him. Please.

Jeff and LJpenner, the smole from my truck streams under the the trailer between the tailgate and TT. when first taking off the smoke from 3rd gear will tnd to go around and down the sides a bit but as speed picks up it just shoots down between the truck and trailer and goes underneath.

Dennis, I'll let you know about the through a camper shell idea. i was planning to do this. my little brother does rondevous and his tent has a fireplace. it uses a cevlar patch that is sewn into the tent about a foot square and the stove pipe sticks through the middle of it. my guess is if it dont catch a tent on fire through a single linned stove pipe it should work for our stacks too.
