Stacks installed!(now with smoke pics)

All I can say guys is "Wow!" They really turned out nice and sound even better than I thought.

Everything went together nicely and got it all done in a day. Used a good number of clamps but I didn't want to weld it as I may need to take it apart for some unknown reason, who knows. The system is just the 4" down pipe from the turbo, right into a 4"/5" reducer, 5" all the way to the 5" inlet of the stacks, however the stacks are 6". :D

Here are some pics, glad to be part of the stacked club, it really was worth it!

Joe, does that y-pipe have a divider up the middle of it, or is it open like all the others I've seen?

Looks great. :D

It's got a divider in it, but I am thinking about cutting it out somewhat, we'll see. Just don't want to hurt the "y" pipe and cause it to crack anywhere. I liked being able to bolt the "y" pipe to the bed for more stability and support for the rest of the system. Got a piece of 5" flex ducting between the cab and bed union, still need to make up some better hangers than safety wire when I have more time.

Looks really good!! Now take some pics of it throwin smoke.

I'll get some smoke pics after the EDM injector install this weekend. Should really be a freight train on Sunday! :D

I doubt it would hurt anything with the divider cut out. Mine doesn't have one, wish it did. Personally, I would leave it alone, as it is. It should help keep the smoke even. Mine isn't. At least at lower RPMs or at start-up.

I have my divider bolted to the floor also. I have flex in between the 90s on the stacks and y-pipe as well.

It looks good. I agree with you stacks are the only way to go. I like to roll the smoke on the unsuspecting PSO and D-MAX. They all seem to back off when it lights up on tack off at stop lights :-laf .

Thanks for the compliments guys, got a lot of those too on my first day crusing around with the new setup. Man, I can't wait till Saturday when I can get those injectors in there and really see the smoke fly.

Lots of thumbs up eh :)

Looks nice, will you be at the sled pull at LACR in Sept?

I thought you lived in Santa Clarita, did you move?

Yes, I'll be there but only to drag race and show. No pulling until I can save up for a double disk which I don't kno if it will ever happen.

I do live in Santa Clarita, Castaic is where I actually live... . about 1 min. north on the I-5 of SC. I just used to put Santa Clarita cuz obviously no one knows where Castaic is.

Hey Joe! How's it going?

You sure keep your truck looking great! Those stacks look nice. Like the new rims as well. What kind are they?

Got a pic from the front of the truck at all, with the stacks?

Sure caught me off guard on this when the TDR remainder hit my email box. Joe, without stacks. Oo.

Those wheels are Alcoa classics and I have actually had them for about 2 years now.

I need to take a pic from the front, I'll try and get one this weekend.

Thanks for the compliments

Ok guys, here are some smoke pics I promised. I will try and get some better ones as these were just some practice pic runs. Enjoy!
