I want to put stacks on my 98 2500.

However, it is equipped with a HARD covered tonneuo cover. There really isn't anyway to cut-thru the cover since it all gathers up near the front of the bed (where the stacks would be placed).

I'm pondering installing the stacks OUTSIDE the bed but not sure how this would look.

Anyone done this ??

Any pics of a set up like I'm describing ??

Ive seen it, On a dually, looks sorta rediculous, But everyone has their own opinion. If its functional for you and you dont mind it go ahead with it.

I saw a street rod truck that has the front corners of the bed cut out and made into a curved shape for stacks. This kept the stacks "flush" with the sides of the bed, but external.

It looked really cool and really difficult to do the body work.

I think this is pretty sharp, just like aseigworth mentioned make some side pipes. Of course it is a dually, I'm not sure how they would look on a SRW.

I thought about cutting the front of the bed but it would be alot of body work to make it work. I think that would look better than in thee bed though. I put a cap on my truck in the winter so I would have to shape the corners of it as well.

Stacks still need some work to look right I think

I don;t think stacks look right on a pickup. They are ok , Here a picture of a Redneck class C I think stacks would not help this one look any better.

oh dear god my eyes are burning, what the hell is that thing, it looks like it's getting humped by whatever the rear wheels are attached to

I can't handle it guys... If you can't run-em in the bed... forget about it...

This boy down here has an old ford 4 dr DRW with the stacks bolted to the ends of the rear bumper and straight up about 8 feet. It makes me violent to see it.

The oddest yet coolest look i've seen is a lifted dodge with a 6 inch mitre cut 45* angled down from an under-truck exhaust.

seen it except on a srw and both stacks were on the right rear and a good couple feet above the topper
