Why is seat belt useage so low among Southern PICKUP

If you put stacks on, do it right, 8" minimum, turnouts, and two foot above the cab... :D

Doesn't happen often, but I have to agree with CF. :D :-laf $$$ was the only thing that kept me from getting 8" stacks.

Fresh Install

I JUST installed (less than 24 hours ago) a set of REALLY short 5 inch miter cuts on the 92. The top of the stack is just even with the top of the (rear) window glass.

I had removed the four inch "side pipe" exiting in front of the right rear tire.

The stacks areWAY LOUDER THAN I HAVE EVER HEARD ANY EXHAUST IN MY LIFE!!! Boy do I mean LOUD. Head splitting/hear piercing LOUD. I cannot believe it. Just about makes me ill.

I will be driving with ear plugs in for sure and I only drove it to town and back with out my fathers 10K boat/trailer. :( :{

But they sure look  and deliver consentrated smoke directly onto the hood of trailering motorists :-laf

Well had the 5" miter cut stacks in my old truck and removed them after it was totaled. Said I was not going to stack new truck, but I put them in the garage and not in the shed like I originally said. Well this coming Saturday guess what lol they are going in :-laf. I think they will sound sweet with the 6spd, don't get me wrong they sounded great with the auto, but pipes always sound better with a manual trans. Just my 2 cents.

Hmmm, how about the side exhaust style? I just really saw my first one, on a 3rd gen at work. It sounded great. I never even considered that.

I think some of the trucks with stacks look great, but I guess they aren't for me. I do like the competition style single stack through the hood though.

I bought Scrappy's 2nd gen and after the six hour drive home the stacks were gone. I like them but I need the room. I think they look better on flatties rather than box beds. Though when thick black smoke is rolling back out of them it all looks good.

Stacks on a 2WD?

Right now I have a 4" straight pipe that turns out before the rear axle and has a 6" Silverline tip on it that reaches out. It is pretty loud and whistles at all times - there is an echo off everything it seems!

Today I spent time cleaning my rear rim of soot. So, I probably will look at other options... either send it out the back corner, or stacks.

I am shopping for tires now for my 2WD. Would like to sit higher.

Would stacks look foolish on a 2WD? Hey, I'm all about an impressive sound and smokin'. I do smoke a bit when gettin' on it in overdrive.

Any tire suggestions?

2WD w/ Stacks

The look real bad if they are sticking way up and out like most 4X4 trucks do. A 2WD simply isn't proportional to having them... untill I caught up with the Mass Diesel Drag 2WD.

I simply did the same thing and looks wonderful on a 2WD. :)

Thanks for the pix of your truck. That's indeed different... looks great! I'm not sure about stacks just yet. Maybe the dualed out route will work.

I enjoy the sidepipe but I went with 5" turnouts for IRP, it looked ok but I didnt really like the way the truck looked, so after returning from IRP I put them in storage, I think Miters would look better on my truck. SOOoooo Im stackin it for IRP again.

smoking out ricers next to you is GREAT with a side pipe but stacks are cool as well. and I cant run em both because it would look just weird. Oh well im keeping my options open haha

for sale 5" turnouts in near new condition ;) (5 days used)

That's a nice picture. Who ever took it timed it right.

I included a picture of the Boot-T that I made to attatch the narrow uprights.

This sounds better than any 4" exhaust that I have ever heard. Does help to have twin turbos... and NO STINKING MUFFLER. No drone what so ever! These are 6" miter cuts ... . and may be replaced by 7" miter cuts someday. .

So? I drive a big truck most of the time. Still like stacks. :D Besides, they sound better than the 5" straight exhaust I had before.

I can't give my opinion w/o being rube to some of you, but I'm gonna do it anyway. I am yet to see a pic of stacks on a factory bed that looks anything other than cheesy... especially the close together ones. I love stacks on a flatbed. If I ever were to put a flatbed on mine, I'd stack it at the same time. Not sure what they're called, but the curved tops, pointing straight back. Those are cool.
