Exhaust brake control switch - options?

#10 plate on a basically stock 97

I have basically a straight pipe (plazma'd the muffler in two and welded in a section tieing the ends together) on my truck now with a full tailpipe and 5" all the way from the big turbo. it is barely audible.

I'm planning to go with a single stack (hotrod look) and was worried about it being too loud. but after straight piping it last night and still can hardly hear it i'm begining to think i dont need mufflers or resonators on it. right now, once its off idle all i can hear is the injection pump rattling :D

who has stacks with twins and can you tell me how loud (or lack there of) they are?

My truck is twinned and double 5" stacks and it is quiter now than it was with the single. I have a 5" downpipe, 4" all the way back (no muffler/resonator) than 4-5" adapters for the stacks. I am also a "true" 4 door so that may help, but I have also had some neighbors ask me if I put "another" muffler on it recently :-laf One even asked if I didnt weld it all the way since it has an "exhaust leak/loud whistle

My system is 5 inch all the way from turbo to the stacks and it is noticably quieter than the old stock exhaust running into the stacks. The exhaust note is a lot more mellow now than before, sounds just like a big rig! Not overly loud or too quiet, just perfect if you ask me.
