Instead of putting a $850 5" exhaust on my truck - Im debating about a set of stacks in the bed. If any of you guys have a set I would like to know about price - pipe size - type of stack - and what would you have done different if anything. A nice pic would be good too. Something I could show the muffler shop.

thnx

pm rob thomas or search his name builds a nice set for good price, thinking about them myself he also has pic's on reader rigs

sweet :D is your cover an access cover? if so how did you cut?

i bought the cover from a friend of mine and had the mother in law butcher and sew the 6" holes for me. it doesnt take much to get access to anything in the bed. i do have to agree with the square cross pipe being alot easier to line the stacks straight, i had one heck of a time getting mine straight/even... good luck and post some pics when you get those stacks on!!!

You may also do a member search here for M-D TDC member Oasis-3. If you follow the links to Cliffs website he has a complete parts list for the stacks he built on his 01. 5 Sport. That set and the ones Rob Thomas makes are two of the cleanest looking sets I have seen in a while. If you drop either a PM they will answer you if you have any questions... ... ... ... ... . Andy

I got my 5" off ebay, came quick, easy install. and I fabd a piece to take out the muffler

430. 00 with shipping (380. 00 base)

0. 00 pipe for replacing muffler

75. 00 6"x24" rolled 45 tip

515. 00 total cost

having people stare and go deaf from your exhaust next to there not-so-fast "rice burner" ..... PRICELESS!
