Was wondering if anyone knew how to protect the chrome on the stacks from the elements (other than the soot) or if it is even needed? I am new to chrome.

Stacks are in. I elevated the crosstube to still be able to ust the most of my bed under the tool box and to be able to use the floor hooks. feels like a new truck. I fabricated the 4" downpipe and had to buy a couple of things but still under budget @ 250 compared to a kit and that includes beverages :-laf . what ya think (couldn't get the pics on here but they are in readers rigs) sorry for the trouble.

I said it before once your stacked you'll never go back even though the wife :-{} about the soot on the 5er :-laf

generally speaking when i had chrome stacks (ive since went to a st of black haulers. ) i polished them once a week... . extreme i know but they were always shiney Oo.
