I know some of you like stacks and some don't. So give me your thoughts on these pics of my truck. Since I have a deck I think it looks OK. Shadrach

The first shot, the one straight on, looks rather sinister I think. They look fine to me, I do not have stacks, but I like the bull haulers best.

My usual opinion of stacks is gaudy, pointless, and unpractical (take up bed space, forget a topper. . )

That said, yours have an angle (so no worries of rain, snow, etc. ) and you don't have a bed anyway.

Dare I say I like them?

i am not a fan of stack but these look great. maybe a few more pics at few more angles. i might like them more or less, do you dare put more up and see??? LOL

No really they look SWEET!!!!!!!!!! nice looking rig!!!!!!!!

HA!! I can barely keep antennae on my truck!! I can only imagine what carnage would ensue if I tried to put stacks on my trucks!! Mesquite trees are not very forgiving on thin metal... ... ... . and with all the smoke my ol' 97 puts out, my horses would get emphysema and smokers cough!! I don't know, I see a lot of 'em around the DFW area... . seems most the guys are compensating for something... . Your ride, your bill, your preference, of course... ... I still think it's something someone should only do to a Cheby... . ;)

Overall I like stacks, looks and sound. However, I think they need to be on at least a dually with an 8' flat bed. On a pickup, they are too narrow for my taste. Also I prefer just plain turn outs v/s the bull hauler type. I also like them pointed half way between straight back and straight out the side. Jeeze, I sound like a picky old man, sorry, lol. I do like your truck tho:)

Well I must confess. They just sitting there for fun. I just wanted to see what it would look like with them on. My buddy had these lying around at his place. If I pointed them more to the rear they would have fallen over as my fuel tank is sloped. I am taking the deck off as it is useless to me and putting a stock pickup box and tailgate on. The truck came this way when I bought it. I also want to run a tall canopy. I have a travel trailer and had a canopy on my last truck for carrying and storing stuff in it while camping and other times. I have nerf boards and a new front bumper cover for it as well. I'll meet you at the Montana border, and I'll throw in the stacks. Shadrach

OH, yeah, that'll at least get 'em within 1600 miles!! While tempting, I know my limits with my wife. She apparently counted the other day. There were 14 trucks in our yard. Glad she didn't count the one I was driving and the one at Dad's... .

I think I may have a truck addiction... . '78 F250(behind '70 Chevy C60) '84 Prospector D250 4x4, '91 D250 CTD 4x4, '93 D250 CTD, '95 Ram 2000(1500+2500 averages 2000), '97 D3500 CTD 4x4 w/Deweze, behind my '03 3500 4x4, '98 D2500 4x4(Mom's old truck, @ 39,000 miles!!), '99 D2500 CTD(what's left of it), '01 D2500 P. o. S 360 v-8, '06 D2500 4x4 CTD, and '05 D3500 4x4. Not pictured are my '85 D350 4 door 4x4, my wife's '97 D3500 CTD, my '93 D250 CTD, her '05 Jeep Cherokee, my '95 Jeep Wrangler, '87 Freightliner, '90 Kenworth, and my '71 Dodge Dart. Yes, most of them run, not necessarily so when I got them..... The '99's getting parted out, the motor is in the back. Bought it like that, though. The '85 is getting a CTD swap. That's been a long project. I've got a parts truck in the North barn. I'd love to do another, but it's so time consuming, as I'm sure you know. My wife has finally said something has to go, she's tired of mowing around it. One in, one out rule, which sucks :{ Just got the black '05, it's got bad injectors, so one of the older ones has to go. See anything you need? We might could do some trading... . :-laf

hey is she is mowing i would do the one in one out deal! sounds like you have it made to me!!!! LOL

Give them back to your buddy, they will be a nightmare for your TT and it would be a shame to chop up your canopy to run hot pipes inside.

I don't care for the look on the utility bed either, looks like a wanabe big rig... sorry JMO :)

The stack are back in my buddy's shed and hopefully the deck will come off and the box will go on by the end of the month. Then I can start to look for a canopy. I spent all day changing the rear springs. I don't know what kind of 5th wheel the PO was hauling but I found a crack in one of the leafs on the left rear and the back half of the center leafs were missing entirely. One of these days I will stop spending money on this truck. :-laf Nah probably not. Shadrach

Ok the deck if off and the box is on, the front bumper has been replaced and the nerf boards mounted. I found a good used canopy. It's Blue but I can live with that as it would cost as much to paint it as it did to buy it. I have ordered a front slider for it and hope to pick it up next week. Here are a couple of shots of how it looks now. I have a chrome bumper on the back for now but will replace it with a white one later. I also peeled all the decals off. I will leave the front fender wheel well chrome on for now but would like to add Bushwacker flares next year. The front fender need replacing anyway. I think I will add the lower chrome to the box as it looks Ok. The tail light bezels are from Dodge. I also need to look for a better tailgate. It's never really finished is it. :-laf Shadrach

Very nice! I've never been a big fan of the flatbed look, even though they are practical for certain usages. Your's is looking sharp with a stock bed!:)
